Update concerning this post.

Today I got an email that said they want to publish my letter! Only, they have a couple of clarifications first... And then proceed to ask some really stupid questions. I mean....sigh...

Honestly, I think the reason this movement has so much momentum is because people are stupid.

I'm very discouraged.

Like, what did they ask?

"If female sports teams are available only to biological girls, doesn't that preclude transboys?" Like...are you seriously telling me that you think a transboy is a biological boy? Are you seriously that fucking dumb? Sorry for the language, I'm just so sick of the idiocy. I'm sick of playing games.

There is the issue of what team transboys on cross sex hormones should compete on. If they were not trans, they would be disqualified for doping.

Dopers should be disqualified from ALL teams. Especially given the transdermal nature of testosterone.

No, there's nothing in the legislation or the letter about hormone levels or anything.

As long as they are not doping to raise their testosterone above a woman’s biological levels then there’s no problem with girls who identify as “trans boys” competing.

They really might not know that transboys are girls... And, as Eava said, the answer depends on whether they are on T.

Yeah... I can't understand why people aren't asking themselves "why can't these boys continue to play on teams with other boys"?

I know, to think that your in a position to educate the editorial staff is amazing. Maybe mention the fact that men's sports are open to everyone... if females had the ability to compete against males, male sports team would be recruiting them.

LOL, two sentences later in the letter is an explanation of men's/boys teams being explicitly open to everyone in the legislation! Like, sort of at length. So I literally copied and pasted from my letter into the email and was like....doesn't this clarify?
