Hi, I've been following that illustrator for a while now. And I didn't know she was GC.

Anyway she posted a quite sad post in which she translates in english the last tweets of Marguerite Stern (the most prominent french feminist who's been speaking up against tra ideology).

She says in it, that she feels totally ostrazised by society, even by her parents and is therefore now making a big depression due to cyber and IRL harassement.

So yeah, her birthday was yesterday. But if you feel enclined to sheer her up a bit by wishing her today...maybe that could be something ? As you wish.

Here is the insta link to the post too, in case you want to use the drawing or just read the translation there:

Instagram post

Have a nice day <3

Thank you for sharing. I’ve followed Marguerite Stern for a while now, and she is so brave, smart and clearheaded. She invented the feminist « collage », shared everything she knew on it to launch the mouvement. She’s also working hard on podcasts sharing the stories of survivors from prostitution, she really dedicated her whole life to feminism.

But because she became THE figurehead of radical feminism in France, she has suffered so much it’s really scary, she gets increadibly abused (lost jobs, routinely threatened, had to move houses because of that, etc.).

It’s so bad that by just following her on Instagram, I received insults, and had to set my account to private. Imagine what she must receive on a daily basis...

Recently a book from liberal feminists came out in France, where they take ownership of the « collage » movement and almost entirely removed Marguerite Stern from its history, while she not only invented it but also set up and organised the movements. It is so violent, and she shared how that’s one of the thing that was too much for her, and burnt her out.

She has a Patreon now, as just finding a job is dangerous/very difficult for her because of her notoriety, so if some of you want to support her, that’s an idea. Here it is. I’ve subscribed and I recommend anyone to do the same.

One of the things I hate the most about TRAs is how they rewrite history and plagiarise women's work like this, deliberately erasing those women from history to get rid of them after taking their work. How can they not see how totalitarian they are?

Thank you so much !! Thank you to explain so clearly who she is and what is her situation now, to the ovarit community !

It's really well written. Thanks for your time. :)

And yeah, she really takes too much crap in exchange of all the bravery and dedication she shows daily, for women.

Not a nice world it is.

Yeah, it’s so unfair, I’m grateful for people like her, but I feel sometimes like a coward to not dare being in the forefront...

(Are you French as well?)
