Bit of a light-hearted post. Wish there was more activity here.

I've had more than one person compare it to liking hot sauce.

Ma'am, that's not where you're supposed to put the jalapeños...

I told a friend I was scared of getting choked during sex and she said the dude has to squeeze the side of your throat & not the windpipe. I was like, I'm still scared lol, wasn't really looking for a loophole...

Neither of them is safe. If they're accidentally held too long (and too long for a blood choke means over 20 seconds), you die. Cutting off oxygen is not something you should ever do unless you're in a life-or-death struggle.

I've heard people say this stuff too. Like um. how the thing is done doesn't matter, it's still non-consent, it's still a violation of personal boundaries.

I've had people try to compare it to sports. Like dude, if you're getting sadistic pleasure out of hurting people in sports, you're still a fucking psychopath.

Never understood how the "but it is sexual" argument should work. No dude, you still look like a psychopath if you like to hurt women out of sexual pleasure. Even more so.

"Kink/BDSM isn't sexual."

This is the weirdest one of all. So you're just "helping" someone self-harm?

I think this person was trying to say that it's a lifestyle and therefore walking your girlfriend around on a leash shouldn't be seen as any different from a couple who enjoy hiking or gardening or travelling together. But at the same time she was trying to say to something that you are rather than something you do.

But she was a gender having enby in a queer relationship with a straight man which she interpreted as a gay relationship because she had short hair and wore men's fragrances.

However I certainly was schooled that my Nigel's enjoyment of live music, eating out and cooking with me was exactly the same as if he wanted to beat me bloody and drown me in the toilet.

Your jalapeños comment is funny but don't put anything past them. "figging" exists. https://www.vice.com/en/article/mbxz5a/figging-putting-ginger-up-butt-kink

Some comparisons I've heard:

It's just like contact sports. Yes, in contact sports we decide beforehand who the winner is and the loser just gets bound and gagged and has to take the beating.

It's just like skydiving. I'm pretty sure though that when someone is skydiving they stay fully in control. They don't get shoved out of the plane. And if they were pressured into it by a boyfriend, we would all agree that boyfriend is an asshole. It wouldn't be shrugged off as "boundary pushing".

It's like eating rocky road icecream. This of course, is in contrast to vanilla. My ice cream sundaes don't get off on humiliating me, yo. But I think we can all agree that you're just as nutty.

WHAT

Why would they waste perfectly good spices?? I'm offended. Whole ginger is expensive..

Figging is a form of sensation play that was once a form of animal cruelty but has since been adopted as a human kink.

Why am I not surprised? Disturbed people.

The kick from e a t i n g it as intended is stronger and, yknow, you don't have taste buds in your ass.

sensation play

I hate those words so much. It is never pleasure. It always involves pain. This pain is always directed to women and performed by men.

This is next level gaslighting.

was once a form of animal cruelty but has since been adopted as a human kink

So kink = cruelty, you said the quiet part out loud.

you don't have taste buds in your ass

Well there are some in your intestines. They actually help with digestion

(Unrelated to what you really said. But I just thought I would share because I thought it was cool.)

I was attached to the skydiving instructor. I hesitate . He jumped.

Well I've had people compare it to video games, though typically that's more from a "If you believe BDSM makes people violent, then you must believe video games make people violent" point.
