There are many on Twitter who claim that this clip is taken out of context, that she was talking from that point of view to demonstrate how messed up things have gotten that some people genuinely feel that way, and she herself is strongly against the push to normalize pedophilia, hence why she is talking about it to begin with. Kind of a "hey kids, some sick people will say stuff like this" I don't believe it's an appropriate conversation to be having with one's students, but I can see why she would want to arm children she cares about with this knowledge.

The clip is really out of context and bizarre, the boys in the class are clearly goading her about pedophiles for some reason, not that this is an appropriate or acceptable conversation to have with students, but I really want to know what was happening 5 minutes before and 5 minutes after before I decide what it is.

I would love the full context on this like how the fuck did this even come up?

“Just because someone wants to rape your little sister or brother is no reason to judge them!”

She should be fired and her hard drive checked immediately.

Grooming and corrupting children by this statement is a crime.

The heavy Southern accent makes it even more bizarre. Sounds like an older woman, too.
