Just a small observation that I remembered the other day. Wokes say that prostitution would be safer if it were legal. But being a porn actress is legal and they still have abysmal rates of abuse, sexual assault, mental illness/trauma and drug addiction. The porn industry is rotten to the core even though it's not illegal.

There’s no safe way to be fucked by a strange man especially when he’s depraved enough to pay to use your body as a sex toy and thus has all the privileges of any consumer. They rail on and on about “Karens” in stores and restaurants what do they think of Karens who want anal with no condom

I wonder what the reaction would be if a prostituted woman complained on the internet about a TIM named Karen demanding anal with no condom.

My bet is, she would be accused of transphobia.

From a country where prostitution is legal, I can assure it is not true. Many women are trafficked victims (because no local woman wants to sell her body and they have the resources to make a living from something else) and Johns are Earth's dirt.

Why? Why would making it legal for men to buy sex stop them from wanting to strangle and hit prostituted women? Why would women working in those conditions not need drugs and alcohol to cope? Why would prostitution being technically legal save women from PTSD?

The second you try to enforce anything like normal workplace safety regulations, the whole "point" of prostitution is undone.

It is legal in Germany and more women have been killed there in prostitution than nearly anywhere. It makes no difference. If anything it'd make it worse.

It definitely makes it worse.

Police can't raid brothels anymore, they have to politely ask for permission, which means the trafficked women are long elsewhere when they finally arrive. I recall reading an interview with a police officer years and years ago.

Aaaand of course, legalisation increases the entitlement of the johns, thus making them much more aggressive.

If anything, the Nordic Model would make prostitution safer ... if the prostitutes could just report the johns for being, well, johns, instead of having to prove any violence that wasn't paid for and agreed on ... then the johns would be more reluctant to cause physical harm.

If it was legal, it would also reinforce the idea that it’s acceptable for men to have one-sided sex with women. I think the safety of sex workers does come before all other considerations, but this is also very important. We don’t need society to keep pushing a one-sided relationship where women please, entertain, and help men, but don’t receive that back.

It would be safer if it were legal. Prostitution being legal would protect so many trafficking victims that get arrested for being trafficked.

Legalize prostitution, criminalize the Johns/pimps.
