I made some kitchen towels for my best friend as a housewarming gift. I thought using cotton yarn would be tricky, but it was no different than acrylic yarn!

I don't get a lot of time to knit nowadays, with 2 young kids, but this was very easy to do. It scratched my knit itch :)

yeah i love cotton or wool yarn! I get the sugar and cream brand typically. Lion makes a wool. I used to think i was intolerant of wool, but i am not knitting with natural fibers is a joy. I expect your friend to be very pleased with this!

She loved them! And she also loved that they can be washed in the washing machine (on gentle settings haha).

So the cotton works as towels? I've wanted to crochet a washcloth for ages, but can't decide on acrylic of cotton. If the cotton works, that would be great!

When I washed it after I finished knitting, the towels were super absorbant. I think cotton by its nature is a good choice for a dish towel!
