I'm sick and tired of TRAs/APAs (autogynophile privilege activists) lecturing me about my own life. It's absolutely ridiculous how many people who have never met me before feel that they know more about my life than I do, and tell me that I never experienced dysphoria or know what it's like to be trans. I did and I do. We all do.

I want to remind everyone here who has presumably experienced the same thing over and over that people who act like this have no idea what they're talking about. No one knows what you experienced better than you.

Many of us were groomed into transitioning, at a young age too. No matter how much APAs insist that you "just" made a bad choice, or that the trans community had nothing to do with your transition, that doesn't make it true. You aren't a bigot for being hurt, or for talking about your experiences. You don't have to shut up.

Remember: you don't owe the trans community shit.

Assuming or dictating someone else's life experiences is a classic male thing to do. They do it every time they deny that we are raped, abused, subjugated, oppressed. They do it every time they tell what we feel, what we want, what we are, what our purpose is, what society (still them) dictates we do. Sadly a few women do it too, but this is a generally patriarchal male thing to do.

As Kathleen Hanna sings in Bikini Kill's "Feels Blind"

If you were blind and there was no braille

There are no boundaries to what I can feel

If you could see but were always taught

"What you saw wasn't fucking real yeah"
