So I somehow stumbled upon this book on Goodreads and the reviews were all praising the content. Since i have never read any feminist books (including the classical ones) despite wanting to read some, i thought maybe this could be a start. I searched this book up on internet and found mixed reviews, so I wanna ask my well-read women here whether reading this is worth it? And if you've read it, what are your thoughts? I don't want to get into this without knowing what I'm getting myself into. Your help you be appreciated! Thank you :)
Oh yes, I've almost finished it and the writing was surprisingly very easy to read, and it was quite basic, so yes it could be an introduction for someone new.
I read it a while ago. It was brief and didn’t make a huge impression on me. What I recall were some fairly mainstream essays that would make a good introduction to someone who’d never heard of feminism but didn’t really show me anything new. Good for fans of hers looking for an introduction to feminism.
