A couple days ago Ovarit registrations blew past 3,000 and today o/GenderCritical got its 3,000th subscriber.
Thank you to everyone who made this move with us. It's been a whirlwind of a journey but I'm glad we're here. We now have the ability to make this site so much better for our users and mods and although it takes time I'm really excited about what we're going to make here.
Some thanks is owed to our very own Rita Skeeter at the Atlantic. If anyone else wants to write a ridiculous hit piece on us, please send us an email. You can also ignore everything we tell you, but I'll tell you a secret: if you buy me a drink I'll start quoting Valerie Solanas.
It took r/GenderCritical nearly three years to hit the 3,000 subscribers mark. Since growth was exponential, doubling every year or faster, it really seemed to take off after that year. It was hard to keep up with it. That was actually my favorite year. We have a lot to grieve from losing our old home we made on Reddit, but give it a little time and many of you will be missing the way things are here, now. Life is always in flux, and so are internet communities.
If you're lurking and haven't reached out for an invite code yet, it's best to get one rather than waiting, we're still a ways out from ending the invite code requirement.
I hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday season.

Hell yeah, merry terfmas! Welcome to the secret club y'all! This whole site is so amazing.
Woo! Here's to gendercritical and the freedom of women!
Wow! I remember when I first set eyes on r/gc there were around 15k subscribers. I was immediately hooked, of course, and remained hooked up until we were banned at about 65k subscribers.
Somehow I have a feeling Ovarit might grow even faster.
Holy fuck It got to 65k?!
I have so much hope 😭
Congratulations! Here's to 3,000 more in the near future!!!
I was coming to thank the Atlantic, but I like the idea of Rita Skeeter.
Thank you so much for the work you have put into building a network of communities by and for women!
