To be fair the Rose of Tralee is less about beauty and more about Irishness, with contestants from around the world of Irish descent. Is is more like our own Eurovision in a way, watched with indifference/drink/nannies yet with fond memories. The viewership has fallen off a cliff and they're desperate to make it relevant.

Is it just me that despises seeing married women and transwomen put together in a sentence like that as if we are similar?

Like one of those is not a woman.

I guess the purpose of beauty pageants is similar to livestock shows, to be paraded around so men could decide which one to breed. Married women are no longer "on the market". Idk, the whole idea is gross to me, if TIMs want to completely take over pageants, lingerie modeling, and porn, I'm all for it, haha. It would also peak men faster.
