Good for her. I came to loathe celebrities who apologize for something they did and said even if I disagree with them. It' s fake anyway and a pr stunt, and it just gives ammunition and even more resons to be sanctimonious jerks to the rabid wokies. This works for the other tweets she is being attacked for.

It wouldn' t work to apologize anyway, she would have to spend the rest of her public life prostrating herself in a vain attempt to atone: they are going to hate you anyway, no matter how hard you apologize and grovel, so fuck it.

This is true. The demands to do penance and "educate yourself without asking transwomen to do the emotional labour" and self-flagellate and denounce others never ends - and it never works. To her dying day, if she irked anybody for any reason - if she snapped at a barista twenty years later - the gossip article would be "Transphobic Gina Carano was rude in a Starbucks."

So just let the nutcases nutcase, and do your own thing.

It never works because there's no forgiveness, so there's no true incentive to actually listen.

Considering the damage vocal Trumpsters are doing re: violent mobs and government insurrections, I won't be exalting them just because they may agree with me on one thing. Most of the world understands there are only two sexes. It's like saying, "HEY! Kim Jong-un believes that the sky is blue! Let's give him some love."

[–] Boudicaea 17 points (+17|-0)

Yeah, I love her for standing up to the wokesters on gender, but after that she said some more problematic stuff and then threatened to join Parler. Obviously that's a pretty bad look, in retrospect. Not sure if she ever did join it though.

That being said, I don't think she ever did anything herself that warrants being fired. She really has been the victim of a witch hunt. Just because she isn't perfect doesn't mean she deserves all the shit she's been getting for sure.

Yeah, I agree with her on gender identity but the far-right conspiracy shit she reposts/likes can't be swept under the rug.

She made me laugh with the “boop/bop/beep” pronouns she did. But I don’t know much else about her.

I like the Mandalorian so anytime one of their actors farts i get a notification, lol. Gender woo does seem to be a good way to get your name in the news these days.

[–] sillylily789 15 points (+20|-5)

Is there a better article that talks about her views on gender identity?

Also she's a trumper and anti-masker, I wouldn't necessarily push to celebrate her

[–] darksunset 18 points (+18|-0)

Yes, while I don't agree with the hysterical wokesters trying to cancel her, she is a typical Trumper that thrives on stoking outrage, rather than airing thought-out stances that aim to promote something positive.

[–] VeggieAnnie 9 points (+9|-0)

I agree, I'm not excited about this. She's just a contrarian.

[–] vauqueline 17 points (+17|-0)

Likely the best thing about this is another woman being visibly unrepentant in the face of the mob.

There's a few things out there, but basically what started all the hate toward her (I think starting this summer?) was someone tweeted her to shame her about not putting her pronouns on her Twitter profile. 🙄 She responded to say that was dumb, I think, and made people mad. Then she put up beep/bop/boop pronouns as a joke. Of course that made them REALLY mad. Then she refused to apologize for it, which had the TRAs braying for her blood. The other stuff came out later, I think because she was getting mad at all the harassment, so she started doubling down on expressing right wing views.

I don't know if she's actually GC, but you'd think given her work she must be some form of GC. Don't think she's actually a rad fem, though.

Idk I'm riding in the car and this just came up on my news feed thing on my tablet.

[–] margerydaw 9 points (+9|-0)

They'd better not fire her from Mandalorian. It's beneficial that young girls see examples of women who are broad and strong. I never saw a woman who looked like that when I was a kid. Even my childhood action hero Xena was feminine and slim. I adore seeing a woman of her body type on TV.

[–] Kevina [OP] 3 points (+3|-0)

No shit I wasn't going to say anything but I think she's absolutely gorgeous. I still enjoyed Xena, but ya its not like we had a lot of choices for role models.

[–] HellaDea 6 points (+8|-2)

She is a hero. I hope she joins the feminist sites

[–] Hollyhock 4 points (+11|-7)

She's not a hero - she'd do anything that 'owns the libs' because she knows that this is an issue of division w/in feminists, of which the vast majority are not conservative.

[–] HellaDea 8 points (+10|-2)

How do you know what she thinks?

[–] bornwithovaries 1 points (+2|-1)

Her behavior's a pretty good sign. I mean, it's an educated guess, anyway. I wish we could get it more out there that knowing the difference between men and women is very compatible with leftism, though. Wouldn't that throw the conservatives for a loop...

[–] hellamomzilla 3 points (+3|-0)

Every fucking day is a struggle session if you're a woman who understands biology, I swear.

[–] MelMarieCurebee 3 points (+3|-0)

Never heard of her, already love her. We should get this on T-shirts, along with Beep/Bop/Boop.

“I’m not against trans lives at all. They need to find less abusive representation.”

[–] MelMarieCurebee 2 points (+2|-0)

Oh also, we should contact DISNEY and let them know we love her and hate them for giving so much money to Twitter in ad revenue.
