This is a women-centered, radical feminist oriented circle to discuss gender from a critical, feminist perspective.
The Sitewide Rules and Sitewide Guidelines are both enforced here. Please read them before posting!
This circle is especially for discussions about gender and transgender ideology/politics. Please use /o/WomensLiberation is for discussions about other feminist topics. /o/Activism is for calls to action, including petitions and fundraisers, and /o/FeministEvents is for posting events.
This circle is focused on articles, news articles, and discussion posts.

Most images belong in other circles, as do examples of individual trans activists doing off-the-wall things, as do some news subjects and many personal posts that aren't political:

Feminism is the movement to liberate women from patriarchy. We stand up for the rights of women to control our own bodies as individuals and to control women-only spaces as a class.
Women are adult human females. We do not believe that men can become women by 'feeling' like women or 'identifying' as women. We condemn the erasure of females and female-only spaces, the silencing of critical thinking, the cancelling of feminists and critics, the denial of biological reality and of sex-based oppression. We oppose the 'cotton ceiling' and the pressure on lesbians to have sex with men. Women are oppressed to exploit their biological sex characteristics, and women have a right to a movement that is about their own liberation from that oppression. We resist the redefinition of both "women" and "feminism" to make them serve men.
"Women do not decide at some point in adulthood that they would like other people to understand them to be women, because being a woman is not an ‘identity.’ Women’s experience does not resemble that of men who adopt the ‘gender identity’ of being female or being women in any respect. The idea of ‘gender identity’ disappears biology and all the experiences that those with female biology have of being reared in a caste system based on sex." –Sheila Jeffreys, Gender Hurts
"Men often react to women’s words—speaking and writing—as if they were acts of violence; sometimes men react to women’s words with violence. So we lower our voices. Women whisper. Women apologize. Women shut up. Women trivialize what we know. Women shrink. Women pull back. Most women have experienced enough dominance from men—control, violence, insult, contempt—that no threat seems empty." –Andrea Dworkin, Intercourse

Everyone was banging on about how great it was that so many transgender people got into office (USA) yet there was not a single transman. I wonder why this could possibly be?
What could a transwoman and a man have in common?
This needs a full on investigation
I shall assemble a committee immediately and put on my best thinking cap!
We need to figure out how a group of people so very very oppressed, extremely marginalized and extensively downtrodden as white transwomen managed to succeed so successfully. Then, we could eliminate oppression in mildly oppressed groups like indigenous women/women of color, gnc lesbians, etc
I would start with charts comparing childhood nutrition and plot out what sized town or city they went through grade school.
There MUST be some connection between white males and caucasian transwomen. We must find it, damnit, we WILL find it.
Yeah it's so weird how they champion transwomen, while actual women, PoC and indigenous people are so underrepresented. It's like they don't even see their selective wokeness. Make politics inclusive but only to more types of men. Awesome.
Its annoying to see the news act as if White men winning elections is a historic event
I've quite effectively ended so many arguments about trans rights by pointing this out.
I was so proud of myself
How embarrassing. I only noticed it today 🤣
They do their best to hide it in plain sight.
In addition, young TIMs seem to qualify for positions reserved for actual women over older, more experienced actual women. It’s rare to see young actual women get elected so it’s not a matter of trying to include the young adults.

The second article literally tells the story of how a 19 years old MRA boy got a woman kicked out of office so he could represent and speak for women in her place because he thinks he knows better.
It reminds me of how Liana Wen (an Asian medical doctor) was fired from her position as head of Planned Parenthood for not centering "trans medical care". And then Wen was replaced by a White TIM whose only qualifications were transgender activism.
So an actual female doctor who had some impressive plans for de-politicizing PP & expanding their medical services was booted for....a dude who thinks PP should prioritize handing hormones out like Halloween candy.
And this shit is considered progressive nowadays
Gross.
PP is needed for women desperate to control their own reproductive system. TIMs need it for tiddies.
It's a black or biracial woman at the head of Planned Parenthood now. Who's the white TIM?
I can't remember his name (and searches aren't bringing it up). But a white TIM initially took over for her when she was forced out. I guess the current president was the permanent replacement
WHO DOES 'WOMAN' BEST?
I DO 'WOMAN' BEST, said the man.
Men are the experts at everything, including being women. They were just so fed up with women doing woman wrong that they had to intervene and save us from ourselves.
How magnanimous. We should revere them and build them statues.
One of the stuff that peaked me, was a photo a few years ago of (I think) the Canadian "women" in parliament, and half were not women, but men in dresses.
Ugh. No trans men lol. What with all their ‘male’ privilege
TRAs reading your comment
Lol
Notice that TIMs get famous for being successful athletes, politicians, CEOs, actors, etc. And TIFs get famous because....they get pregnant while sporting a beard. Or they're the daughter of an iconic celebrity. Or a star of fetish porn. That's it.
But people TOTALLY treat trans-women exactly the same as real women!! /s
It's almost like... People can tell the sex of other people and that knowledge influences their views on those people... Society is a TERF.
🤯
Related to this: would there be gender equality if 50 men and 50 trans women were in a governing body of 100?
According to TRAs, it would. Because white men in lipstick understand oppression better than any female ever could
Wokies say yes.
I did a quick skim of the list and it was roughly some 8 males for every female.
Yup. So obvious
The most voted congresswoman in my state in my country is a man. Kid you not. He is literally a man in a dress.
You mean to tell me that a system made by men to serve men will know who is male, and who is female? Shocking!
Sorry if it sounds too tin-foil hat
And are still male.
Wait...what?!?!
Ther is no comeback to that except “ reality is transphobic”
