On Netflix they recreated this show from the 90s but with "diversity" which now basically means non binary characters and queerness and as a brown lesbian I HATED what they've done...

For example in episode 4 high school characters ages 16/17 are going to these huge rave parties "for pride" run by drag queens inviting up "anyone beyond the binary" on stage to basically do a sexualised dance in front of everyone. The non binary guy goes up in a crystal studded crop top and starts grinding and theyre all cheering..

The drag queens are carrying glow in the dark dildos around the party with fairy light "jizz" coming out of them and when the teenage boys steal it they say "they just did a cock and run! ugh twinks." Theres a line where these high schoolers say "studying can wait, sex cant"

THEY ALSO HAVE A WHOLE EPISODE WHERE THEY DISCUSS THE BENEFITS OF PORN. I CANNOT. Saying "it can be helpful to figure out who you like or what you like sexuality wise"

What the fuck is happening?

Meanwhile, the stats show that the younger generations aren't having as much sex. We live in a weird world.

Good for the girls. Less orgasmless sex, STIs, and unwanted pregnancies, especially with this abortion ban in many US states.

They’re pushing and promoting porn and kinks onto teen girls, but the truth is out. No wonder Reddit was so triggered by FDS.

Also, more girls are able to come out as openly lesbian at an earlier age instead of being gaslit into dating boys they aren’t even attracted to (and all the risks that come with that), and that’s awesome. Now if the TRAs would stop grooming young lesbian girls into going “enby” or being TIFs!!! Fucking predators.

Of course not. Sex is now painted as weird, creepy, performative. It's not about worrying if you're "good" at it anymore, but it's basically about whether you can do porn and are ready to accept porn being done to you. I would be terrified of it too if I were young and inexperienced.

I have noticed intensely sexual content being added in everything targeting teens and it truly breaks my heart. Yes, teens are curious about sex. But these shows are not simply talking about sex and sexual awakening, they are promoting hedonism.

I hate that this perpetuates the "predatory gay" stereotype among normies who don't even know the difference between gay and trans.

Yeah, it’s so disgusting. One of my best friends in HS was a shy gay guy who was extremely selective about who he dated. He exclusively dated the same guy for years, and their ideal date night was mini golf, lol. I HATE that they’re dehumanizing gay people by constantly linking them up with weird-ass T fetishes (including AGP).

What the fuck is happening?

Patriarchy. Different century, same shit.

There is no non-nefarious reason I can possibly think of as to why there is this huge push of sexually explicit material aimed towards not just teenagers, but children as well. I'm trying to figure out why more people are not up in arms over this.

This is a life long issue of mine, but I can't stand how our society treats hypersexuality as the norm.

Dystopia has arrived, compliments of the WEF and a cabal of misogynist oligarchs. (Is that a double negative of some sort, WEF and a cabal of misogynist oligarchs?)

edit: to add an afterthought

I dropped Netflix about 8-months ago after having it from way back when they mailed DVD’s. It became, for me, barely any decent original content left to watch. The highly sexualized teens, the super-heros, etc., are not my thing. I hate watching sexualized shows with teens. It really bothers me. (I don’t watch Euphoria on HBO for the same reason. It makes my skin crawl).

Rare was the show like Peaky Blinders. I may rejoin when they show the last season of Peaky but I won’t be going back otherwise.

Netflix lost 200k subscribers between the January-March, 2022 time period, so the quality of their content (and the cost for said crappy content) must mean that there are a lot of people that are dissatisfied with the current Netflix.

Propaganda meant to make them too confused to tell anyone what’s happening when these fucking perverts inevitably start in on them. We recently had a man dress in a disgustingly large-breasted caricature of a woman (complete with fake prominent nipples) in Ontario and then go into work teaching teenage boys. In Utah they’re playing with introducing a K-12 intro to pornography school program.

Pedophiles and perverts have usurped these decision making roles from normal men and women and now we’re paying the price for woke culture as everyone is too scared to tell them to fuck off.

I’m so fucking glad I’m childfree. I never thought there would come a day I’d consider homeschooling the obvious choice, but here we are.

Haven't seen this but a while ago I watched the Amazon series "I Know What You Did Last Summer", their new take on the cheesy horror movie franchise from whenever it was. I have to say I was pretty appalled. All the main characters (high school seniors/college freshmen) were basically sex fiends, drunks, and drug addicts, doing porn, sexually aggressive. There was a main lesbian relationship but I don't think you'd want it as representation if you are a lesbian or even bi. The HS valedictorian who everyone loved, they're portraying as the sluttiest junkie self-harming cutter, conniving evil person. But it's not like she was conniving and evil and a bad person who'd get her comeuppance like some morality play, she was the popular wonderful daughter and best friend, and all the characters were into aggressive sexual displays and drugs, like all these kids' interactions with each other were like, i dunno, if camgirls were baboons and went around day to day challenging other people with dominance displays based on the sex acts creeps paid them to perform on camera. It was such a weird tone and I thought this seems less to me as a reflection of a sick society as a promotion of sickening society. And I'm not actually a prude but I was like damn this show is messed up.

Eww, that sounds utterly disgusting. Sounds more like fap fodder for some middle aged male pornsicko than something most teen girls would even want to watch. Yuck! (Straight) teen girls generally want to see some cute teen guy “eye candy” but not degrading sexist depraved shit like that. And I certainly don’t know any lesbians who want to watch shit that either. Wtf. Groomer city.

Honestly I hated Riverdale for the same reasons... I am not a prude at all but my god could they have a single episode without sexualising teenagers?

I was a bit too young for Heartbreak High as a kid (though I always watched the opening for the theme song), but I heard about this remake from a friend who always recommends these shit Netflix TRA-captured remakes of classics from the 90's/80's. I knew instantly that this latest remake would also be chock full of TRA woo woo horse shit, and looked it up to find multiple gender-havers as characters, as well as a "woke principal" (wtf?).

It it such obvious propaganda. This BS is always shoehorned into media aimed at girls. Heartbreak High was ostensibly for either sex, but we all know it was a teen soap and girls were the true intended audience.

As well as being a secure cash cow with an already-existing fanbase, remakes are trying to appeal to a fascination—dare I say envy?—for the 90's by younger audiences that isn't just about fashion. And this goes hand in hand with a sort of mournful nostalgia for it by gen X/gen Y. I do think it counts even when the remake is set in the present day— we all know Heartbreak High is a symbol of the 90's.

In many ways things were worse in the 90's than today, but one major thing that was better that was that there was a sense of hope for the future, that things were going to get better, that we even had a future. And now we don't have that. But here's the thing, writers behind these remakes— one of the things that makes the present day so bleak and hopeless is the postmodern relativist anti-reality bullshit, grooming of minors and societal gaslighting around it all that you're perpetuating on your remake!

Oh no. I was really looking forward to watching it soon despite not knowing what it's actually about because I saw someone say that it has really good autistic girl representation. But now knowing that it's so pro porn and pro gender I don't really want to see it anymore :(
