Rant Misogynist Owen Jones put me in a bad mood

I'm 7 months pregnant, I don't need the negativity right now so I just deleted Twitter. I take abuse like that a lot online, so I'm not sure what it was that got to me today.

Just wanted to share with you ladies. Could use a pick me up.

Several layers deep on one of his ridiculous posts i commented that men who claim "TWAW" but then seek out women as surrogates are awful. For whatever reason he replied to me and I got a bunch of hate/abuse for my message. Someone threatened to kill me. And many other nasty, awful messages. I'm 7 months pregnant, I don't need the negativity right now so I just deleted Twitter. I take abuse like that a lot online, so I'm not sure what it was that got to me today. Just wanted to share with you ladies. Could use a pick me up.

Fuck Owen and fuck his flying monkeys. Its telling that defenders of surrogacy have no problem sending death threats to a pregnant woman over a Twitter spat between two people who they don't even know

They were angry because you were correct and they couldn't refute you.

Yes, those people are scary with how quickly the arrive at death/rape threats. I've seen misogyny (a lot) before, but the misogyny from the TRAs is truly something else. Thanks for the support!

I think the hormones induce like a roid rage in them, no one behaves like that, we call them all narcs but i'm thinking its more then that

Feminism is the movement to liberate women from patriarchy. We stand up for the rights of women to control our own bodies as individuals and to control women-only spaces as a class.

Women are adult human females. We do not believe that men can become women by 'feeling' like women or 'identifying' as women. We condemn the erasure of females and female-only spaces, the silencing of critical thinking, the cancelling of feminists and critics, the denial of biological reality and of sex-based oppression. We oppose the 'cotton ceiling' and the pressure on lesbians to have sex with men.
