Rant Misogynist Owen Jones put me in a bad mood

I don’t set foot on Twitter. It seems like an easy way to ruin your own life.

Your future: a beautiful woman holding the baby she created with her own body and produces food for. Birthing a new little universe teeming with trillions of different life forms all from your own body.

His future: planning a long, elaborate, cringey-ass LARPed home birth with a set schedule according to the surrogate's progress, ultimately culminating in a dramatic faked "vaginal" birth...... which doesn't happen because the surrogate says "no fucking way, I'm going to the hospital" and then changes her mind to keep the baby. She wins in court. He cries in the middle of his nursery and wipes his tears with the breast and sanitary pads he was determined to have a use for.

Let him have his Twitter "victory". How empty and sad.

He might have a large army of stupids, but you have an army of intelligent people on your side, not just on this site but in everyday life your views are the majority. Rest easy in that knowledge. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy; don't let fools make this time any worse than it has to be.

I have had this happen from a big male account and they just let their useful minions do all the work for them. They know this, and it's disgusting. The reply this big account left was "fuck you". I reported it, but of course Twitter said it wasn't abuse. The big account also told me that I shouldn't worry about men, whoops I mean "trans women" in women's sports as it was obvious it has been years since I played a sport, which then led to a torrent of abuse about no man would have sex with me.

I also deleted my account as people were trying to figure out where I worked and who I was. What was more disgusting is that most of the people harassing me trying to find out who I was were handmaidens. This was all over a simple tweet of "Of course trans women have a physical advantage over women in sports". Nothing derogatory. No F words. No threats.

I am sorry this happened to you. I know how I felt when it happened. Focus on yourself, your family and don't worry about Twitter for a bit. If you need to vent or need encouragement, we are all here. Take good care of yourself. xxx

Sometimes that crap really does get to you. Imagine a year from now, how insignificant and forgettable OJ and this crap will be as you spend time with your 10-month-old. And be there now.
