The utter failure of parents is a major feature of this. Not the only one, of course, and it’s hard to blame parents who think that they are doing what is best because the “experts” tell them so. But still.

I took an interest in that part about the kids seeming to enjoy wielding so much power over adults. I've figured for a while that trans-identified kids would grow up to be utter monsters with how much they're coddled.

For a hot minute a couple years ago, I was close with a family with a trans child (in the 8-10 age range). The kid was male, socially transitioned as a little girl. He checks a lot of the boxes mentioned in the thread. Has a history of early-childhood trauma (as far as I know, not sexual), the father now out of the picture. Mother had virtually no discipline for the kid... the mother herself was massively Cluster B, possibly sociopathic, and used the kid as a prop. In private, when there was no need to show the kid off, the mother would just plop the kid down in front of a Device.

The kid seemed to enjoy the attention for being trans, craved his mother's approval, would not listen to any other adults during instructional periods (for example, teaching the kid how to make pancakes or how to handle various small animals), and in general was sweet but a terror. Super high energy, too.

Not sure how he's gonna turn out, but I don't have high hopes.

It seems to me that the dam is breaking right now...

"1st patient was a 13 y.o. female to male transitioner. During the chart review, it was reported that BOTH of their older siblings are also transgender."

Absolute scandal.

Oh for fucks sakes! Even having two gay children is rare, but three transgender children?? Come on!! How can anyone with half a brain not see

How can anyone who claims to be in medicine AND possess critical thinking skills not say, "wait what???" at that exact moment. A medical student shouldn't have ever bought into it to begin with, but I know from experience that is sadly not the case.

TIPs were historically about 0.1% of the population. Isn't it telling that a situation like this with three members of the same family being trans is explained by the TRAs as just being a natural result of "greater social acceptance" in complete defiance of mathematical facts and basic logic?

Oh, and you're a hateful bigot if you dare suggest that social contagion is the causative factor. They've gotta shut down that obviously correct line of inquiry IMMEDIATELY or else the whole house of cards would come tumbling down.
