This is from a very right wing site , the family research council. They don’t get capital letters because they made me click on their anti abortion popup.

This is just what has happened at Target alone I think.

Whoa, did Target change their changing rooms to all sexes?

Never gonna try on clothes there ever again. I don’t want perverts filming me!

I think they were one of the first at least for bathrooms.

With COVID they haven’t allowed people in the changing rooms anyway. Not sure when that started

Also something to consider: outright sexual assault is only part of the story; behaviors such as voyeurism and exhibitionism also need to be part of the conversation. Unfortunately, these are even more likely than assault to go unreported, probably because most women know that it will all come down to he-said-she-said (or "she"-said-she-said). Personally, I would expect that if all bathrooms and locker rooms were made mixed-sex starting tomorrow, sexual assault in these spaces would undoubtedly rise but still remain a relatively rare occurrence in absolute terms. But leering, peeping, flashing, taking creepshots, making lewd comments, "accidental" or "friendly" touching . . . these would skyrocket.

This is about India but shows that when women have toilet needs outside the home, they’re extremely vulnerable to sexual assault which is why we have sex segregated loos in the first place and why campaigners in developing countries are seeking to instal women only facilities.

It's really hard to find numbers and stats in the US, just a lot of, "It never happens, we promise!"

That's amazing, thank you so much for all the resources! It means a lot! It's so hard but it's an issue that really needs to be addressed!

Target did their own study here : It’s titled: “Sexual Violence Reports in Target Spike After Transgender Bathroom Policy: Study”

Disclaimer : this article links to a Christian site BUT they do reference the study target did themselves which has no religious affiliation.

From the UK: In 2017-18, there were 134 reports of sexual assaults happening in changing rooms of sports facilities. Of those, 120 occurred in facilities that are called gender-neutral (i.e. mixed sex). That's 90% of assaults happening in these mixed-sex spaces. And that's despite mixed changing areas still being less than half of those provided in UK - most swimming pools, leisure centres, changing rooms in schools still have open changing areas, one for each sex. (Swimming pools usually have an additional one or two family rooms if dads are taking their daughters swimming.)

The data was reported here: https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/women/sexual-assault-unisex-changing-rooms-sunday-times-women-risk-a8519086.html

Thank you so much! That is such a great study. I wish there were a few more like the available!

It annoys me that qe have to come up with reasons men should not be able to self ID into our spaces.

Howz about the TRAs need to show us stats on all the trans women harmed when using the mens room?

I’ve not even seen one complaint
