I wasn't expecting this article to be about gender-affirming procedures where in this case sterilization is a "side effect" of the intended result.

There's a lot more arguments against doing these specific cosmetic surgeries on teens/young adults than just "it permanently sterilizes them," so I would hate for that to get mixed up with the cases where someone might actually need a surgery that has that outcome.

I don't know where to draw the line, but it shouldn't be based on age. The same 20 year old girl that should be denied gender affirming surgery might be the same girl that needs a hysterectomy, salpingectomy, or oophorectomy.
