Ugh, I'm ashamed I ever bought anything from them.

[–] madderthanhell 15 points (+15|-0)

Tell them!

[–] TheEthicalHedonist [OP] 21 points (+21|-0) Edited

I wrote them when I started getting emails calling me a menstruator and person that bleeds. No response. Shocking, I know! 🙄

But I agree, the more of us that say something, the better!

[–] worried19 11 points (+11|-0)

I'm not on Twitter. But I guess I could write them a letter.

If you still have their underwear maybe you should consider throwing it out

The same chemical in their underwear is found in non-stick pans, paints, and water repellent fabric and can cause infertility, definitely not something that has any business being near a product designed for women who are reproductively healthy (as in, have a period).

[–] worried19 2 points (+2|-0)

I saw that article. I've still been wearing them. I figure they've been washed so many times, whatever harmful chemicals might have been there are gone by now. But maybe I should stop wearing them out of principle.

Too bad. I really liked their underwear. I could go all day at work without a problem.

And, yet, the women employees were treated badly, while they gas on about how vaginas and menstruation aren't female.

I thought the toxic chemicals in their underwear was bad! This company is just ridiculous from top to bottom!

Dammit I was about to buy some. Are there any of these period underwear companiesn that aren't insane?

I know there’s a post somewhere here on Ovarit that’s collecting period products that don’t suck.

I can’t find it at the moment, but I’ll keep looking.

Does anyone know the post I’m talking about???

I remember the post but don't have it saved. I think modibody was the only one suggested though!

[–] Boudicaea 2 points (+2|-0)

Just buy the Chinese knockoff stuff from Amazon. Bambody is the one I got, and they worked great.

In general I prefer not to buy Chinese when I can buy something else, but as far as I know they are all like this. Based on the last time this came up.

Ever notice the most woke companies seem to have really bad issues with human rights, or having their products be safe? I am glad I never bought from this company.

The virtue-signalling is often a deflection.

Kind of like Disney being fine with shooting Mulan in China and ignoring actual concentration camps, and even thanking groups linked to them; but firing people who say the wrong thing?

I am actually kind of coming around to it was shitty of Disney to fire Gina Carano, especially since they rehired James Gunn who said way worse on Twitter.

Omg I don’t know why reading that women have vaginas is a myth is doing this to me, maybe I’ve reached my breaking point, but I am straight up laughing alone in my apartment. Laughing the entire time I type this.

Probably gonna start to cry when I’m done.

I remember seeing a more eco friendly version of period panties that work in a similar way without all of the toxic chemicals and slander shit, but I can’t seem to recall it atm

EDIT: I think it was Knix https://knix.com/pages/about-us?loc=MobileNav&nav=Our-Story

[–] worried19 2 points (+2|-0)

Are we sure they're not woke? Lots of "people" mentioned on their website. I didn't see "woman."

[–] Rhapsody 1 points (+1|-0)

I’m not entirely sure, I’ve tried to do some splunking
