Good, Alexandra Darroch deserves a gift for saying out loud what every woman in that room was thinking but too afraid to say. If all women spoke up this nonsense wouldn't get as far as it has.

Also, thanks OP and all of you in the UK that post these articles. I'm in the US and would likely miss them.

Wonderful courage shown by speaker. What is so sad is that in the clip, at least, no other women in the room are supporting her visually or vocally. You would have thought to see at least one or two nodding their heads, or clapping, or exhibiting some sign. Instead they are sitting like scared, trained rabbits.

haha, wonderful!

live in their acquired gender from two years to three months, with a further three-month “reflection” period.

Seeing phrases like this and wondering wtf it means to "live in/as" your chosen gender is what peaked me. How do you do that without it boiling down to adopting gendered stereotypes?

They do that by forcing everyone else to treat them like their "identity", specifically in language (pronouns, gendered honorifics) and access to wrong-sex spaces. Of course, that side of "living as" a gender is authoritarian and denies the rest of us our fundamental rights.
