lol the TiM in the comments saying "internalized misogyny is what i did to cope" like ..... no, you're a man, that's just straight up misogyny LMFAO

[–] misty728 55 points (+55|-0) Edited

‘Hot girl privilege’? Well damn, I wasn’t aware constantly being terrified of rape, being sexually harassed, having men pretending to be your friend to get into your pants, misogynistic assumptions based off ‘dumb blonde’ stereotypes, plus the enormous amounts of time, effort and money spent on makeup, brows, fashion etc. to become a ‘hot girl’ in the first place was a privilege.

Some of the comments in this thread are just disgusting and show men have no idea what being a woman is ACTUALLY LIKE. Thanks for sharing, OP.

Particularly enjoyed the comment about our bodies looking easier to maintain as we have no junk between our legs. Yesssss because it's so much easier to maintain genitals that are mostly in than hanging out. No such thing as thrush, urinary tract infections or you know, fucking periods. Honestly it's like they think we're Barbie dolls. Smooth and pretty in the outside, with nothing on the inside.

[–] RisingUp 42 points (+42|-0)

I've always found that particular kind of male stupidity fascinating.

Our bodies are so much more complex compared to men's bodies, but sexist men seem to have a massive blind spot about that. You'd think it would be obvious that a person factory is considerably more complex than a spunk factory, but somehow that goes right over their heads.

Could you imagine not having a hormonal cycle and getting the privilege of feeling EXACTLY THE SAME EVERY SINGLE DAY OF YOUR LIFE????

[–] Aeschleah 36 points (+36|-0)

Aren’t these the guys that don’t even wipe their arse properly? How the hell are they going to deal with a vagina?!

[–] Researcher1536 7 points (+7|-0)

No sympathy when they get a staph infection or something else 😒

[–] misty728 28 points (+28|-0)

Right? In what world is a penis harder to maintain than a vulva? You just have to wash it. Meanwhile we have to deal with all the things you listed. And also wash it.

If I had to guess why they think that way, I’d probably guess that their whole view on what a vulva is is based off of porn. They just see it as a fleshlight.

[–] LadyGlum 17 points (+17|-0)

I bet most of them don't even wash tbh. If they ever have "bottom surgery" they're going to have a bad time.

[–] llkit 8 points (+8|-0)

A smooooottttthhhh flashlight. It's like they don't know women have pubes too. And yep, incredibly pornified.

[–] BlackMoonLilith 27 points (+27|-0) Edited

Yup. I wish they could experience having super tender/painful boobs during PMS for 5+ days, and then once that goes away you have painful period cramps and the possibility of "bubbling out" when you cough or fart and end up staining the bed with period blood even with a tampon in, and having to deal with the cleanup.

Not to mention the discomfort of being pregnant for 9 months in order to keep our society going.

[–] Lilim 19 points (+19|-0) Edited

Lol not to mention the societal expectations of shaving, waxing, plucking, moisturizing, makeup application and removal, managing long hair, having to work harder to lose weight or keep it off on top of non optional biological functions like menstruation, higher risk of UTIs, breasts and their complications etc.

Also it’s not hard to clean your dick and ass, guys. Even the grungiest of men I’ve been with know to, bare minimum, wash up and brush their teeth before getting intimate.

[–] LadySparklz 14 points (+14|-0)

That comment was hilarious and bizarre! Women have it easy because no penis gets in the way as we sleep?! Bahahaha!!!

If anything, arms are the peskiest body part to have when you sleep. Better cut off your arms so you can get a good rest!

[–] Gini 14 points (+14|-0)

My boobs get in the way of me sleeping comfortably half the time.

To be fair, I have asked male friends, "how the hell can you stand having all that swinging around and sticking to your legs all the time."

lol.

[–] llkit 5 points (+5|-0)

Personally I'd go with more pillows and a mattress topper, but you do you :-D

My favorite part of "hot girl privilege" is elbowing men in the ribs, hard, when they come up behind me with an obvious erection on the dance floor. It's just so fun to defend myself from sexual assault while I'm trying to have a fun night out with my friends!

Ugh. It's been a long time since I've been out to a club, but I clearly remember that bullshit.

[–] [Deleted] 14 points (+15|-1)

Unfortunately this is a common thing that "femcels" think as well. And I've seen some in rad-fem communities.

[–] [Deleted] 8 points (+8|-0)

Also, I really doubt most TIMs will ever even be close to being "hot girls"

[–] ShingleShake 32 points (+32|-0)

The one comment from a woman who is outlining how men simply wanting to sleep with her doesn't mean her life is easier gets completely ignored so that OP can still claim victim-hood. It's ridiculous, like he didn't even read it and then continues to comment "but what about this one thing I have to deal with", and doesn't address anything she goes through. This isn't internalized misogyny, it's straight up misogyny. He couldn't give a shit what she says, he's never experienced it so clearly it must be easier than what he's going through. Good ol' "grass is greener" bs.

[–] KBash 30 points (+30|-0)

I had a discussion with an incel once in which he said all my experiences of rape and assault were not as bad as him never having sex. 🤷🏼‍♀️

[–] IrishTheFrenchie 11 points (+11|-0)

Did you see OP say this???

Elaborate?? “Women can make money from their body but men have way more opportunities for success”. What do you mean by that. Everything a man can do career wise a woman can do the same thing.

He's a misogynist AND completely deluded at the same time.

[–] [Deleted] 24 points (+24|-0)

These people are reframing misogyny as "internalized misogyny" so not only do they get to keep their misogyny, they can play the victim. LMAO. Why am I still surprised by this.

[–] elscat 22 points (+22|-0)

To be fair, the incel to trans pipeline is pretty evident. I only know two transwomen personally and one was a self-described incel less than five years ago. I think some incels are seeing it as a way to access women sexually or to abuse them and have the mainstream social media support it.

[–] Gini 9 points (+10|-1)

I'm pretty sure contrapoints used to be an incel but i cant prove it cause all his old videos are gone when he was going under some other name.

[–] no- 1 points (+1|-0)

He was an MRA, but his old content is gone. I'd kill for receipts.

[–] Aeschleah 21 points (+21|-0)

What kind of dumbfuck logic is ‘Women won’t sleep with me, and they have it easier than I do because they have boobs, therefore I will become one in order to capture this mystical power, and exponentially shrink the pool of women that will sleep with me to 00.0000000001%’

[–] Tnetennba 6 points (+6|-0)

Transition is the complete opposite of a solution. Literally NOBODY wants to fuck them. Nobody. Not even each other.

[–] edieandthea 15 points (+15|-0)

I enjoyed this puzzled commenter trying to understand why American men claim to be so much more oppressed than women

I'm not American so I don't really know how it is there [...] a hill billy will just jump out from the mountains and shoot you for not acting traditionally masculine [?]

[–] Elegantissima 12 points (+12|-0)

Everything a man can do career wise a woman can do the same thing.

This guy thinks he understands what it is to be a woman.

facepalm

[–] questioningtw 7 points (+7|-0)

I love how the woman that said if you think you are a woman because being a woman is easier, you will regret your choice just got mansplained about how she was wrong. Being a woman is in no way easier. How could it be? Women have a more complicated reproductive system, meaning we are the ones that experience periods and all the pain that goes along with them, pregancy and childbirth. Sex is also a lot more risky for us then men, and acting like it is somehow a privilidge to be considered the sex class drives me insane. Women are also physically weaker then men. I am so tired of men complaining about being physically stronger, because women ask them to help them lift stuff. Poor you. I despise the fact that I am physically weaker, and if I could take steroids safely I totally would. Women are also thought of as being less competent and have to fight our way into being taken seriously. Men are not, and have never experienced sexism for being men. Women being wary of men for their own safety is not misandry.

[–] Tnetennba 3 points (+3|-0)

Plus the world physically isn't built for us. Look at seat belts.
