And also sane?

There are a few conservatives - Abigail Schrier and a handful of GOP senators. A few more righties - Tucker Carlson and looneytunes Marjorie Taylor Greene. But even their support is measured, calm, and usually half- or quarter-ass (There are only two "genders" - MTG. bfd.) Candace Owens is pretty good, too.

So far I have seen only one - ONE - public figure who truly speaks what is on my mind per this matter. And she is full-blown QAnon, makes MTG look sane, MAGA forever, etc. She is also a convicted felon.

But, boy, do I love what she has to say here. Enjoy it now. She's been tossed from twitter.

Wait I’m sorry, are we acting like anti-choice politicians are our ALLIES??

“Full throated allies”????

[–] zuubat [OP] 8 points (+12|-4)

Believe me, I get the dilemma.

But so far they are the only ones standing up to the trans madness

[–] ellienoire 13 points (+17|-4)

That doesn’t make them our allies. Agreeing on one singular issue does not mean that I’m about to celebrate or support people who see me as a baby making subhuman who shouldn’t have rights. I will not engage in positivity about these people.

Tulsi?

[–] zuubat [OP] 4 points (+4|-0)

You are right, thank you for bringing up her name.

I know she comes from a fairly strange background, but I never really understood the vitriol against her in Dem circles.

She supported Bernie the first time around and dropped her position (vice chair) in the DNC to do so. We know media isn't news anymore, but the pr wing of politics. I'd guess the DNC felt betrayed by her snub and started/nurtured that vitriol that ultimately pushed her out of politics.

I'm very leery of Tulsi. I have been observing cults viv a vis free speech and association issues for awhile now and I cannot help but see her as a trojan horse thrown in the mix after Chris Butler (AKA Jagad Guru Siddhaswarupananda Paramahamsa, AKA "Prabhupad") and Wana Lei discovered they could no longer get her father elected because of his open (cult endorsed, btw) homophobia. She says the right things but drinks some sexist dude's toenail water so she leaves me a little cold as far as 'allies' go.

7,000 posts of krishna madness going back to 2004 when her father was running for office: https://forum.culteducation.com/read.php?12,4453

Not that I know of. America's so politically fractured that there's only "us" and "them", so if your enemy is against something, you ABSOLUTELY MUST be for it. I'd hoped that things would chill out once Trump was gone, but it sure hasn't happened yet.

Lie with dogs and get fleas. That’s all I’m gonna say about the names you’ve shared.

I've been listening to Megyn Kelly's podcast. I didn't really have an impression of her before beyond the weird shit Trump said about her, since I haven't had cable for years. She's entertaining and straight talking. I don't agree with everything she says, but once she discovered Abigail Shrier she peaked the fuck out. Her recent ep with Candace Owens is interesting.

Abigail Shrier is not a conservative

[–] Lilypad9999 1 points (+2|-1)

Shes not? Pretty sure she is..... (Note: love her)

Ive also read on here several times that she's a conservative woman, which doesn't necessarily imply she's a republican. My impression was that she got terfed while writing the book.

[–] remquarqk 1 points (+1|-0)

I see. Yeah, being 'terfed' doesn't make one conservative even. I think people should stop with this.

[–] remquarqk 2 points (+2|-0)

Pretty sure she describes herself as a lifelong liberal in her book!

[–] Lilypad9999 1 points (+1|-0)

I'm not saying she's conservative because she's been "terfed." I'm pretty sure she's conservative because I recall seeing her tweet and write in support about Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh, Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett, she's retweeted Ben Shapiro and Tucker Carlson, she loves Megyn Kelly, and I'm pretty sure she voted for trump. All that said, at this point I am politically homeless and no longer consider myself a democrat, and so while two years ago this might have demonized her for me, that is no longer true. I am not making a moral statement here by saying that I'm pretty sure she's conservative, I'm just curious as to what would make someone think that she's a liberal because reading her book and following her on twitter for a year hasn't shown me anything to indicate that.

Wow! Angela Stanton King here pulls no punches.

Her son is TWAW ? That poor woman. I hope she can straighten him out.

God I hate that the left media is letting these clowns be the only ones who speak any truth on trans issues.

Glenn Greenwald said some decent things recently

[–] Sesostris 2 points (+2|-0)

He defended Owen Jones' ridiculous comments lately.

[–] banjo 1 points (+1|-0)

Yeah such is the sorry state of the debate here.. he is not a "full throated ally" but I still appreciate him for pushing back even a little bit

I’m not in the US, but with all the recent “TERF Island” and “wHy ArE tHeY bRiTiSh?” rhetoric lately, I’ve been wondering why no old-school US feminists seem to be speaking up for women (and against the bastardisation of “feminist” and “feminism”).

The most recent thing I found is this letter from 2013. It’s international, but includes a few big name US feminists like Marge Piercy and Ti-Grace Atkinson. Not sure if some of the people who signed are still speaking out.
