I know I shouldn’t be surprised at this point, but the blatant bias and misinformation in supposedly fact-based articles like this still gets to me. I mean come on:

Calls to defend “female spaces” and “women’s shelters” have become rallying cries of anti-trans groups, who have falsely suggested that trans-inclusive policies endanger cis women.

Further down they parrot this nonsense about the video possibly being a hoax.

This article is really especially egregious garbage. There's dozens of examples online that real journalists videoed showing it's clearly antifa. Antifa is a known menace. The Guardian should report they were there. AGAIN. They report rubber bullets were fired at TRAs and then show pictures of men in dresses to cement the idea that the cops are trash and tims are endangered. I saw the cops battling with antifa. They're not doing any Ghandi passive resistance shit.

Falsely?! FALSELY?!

Fuck whoever wrote that line.

Ikr?? This dipshit thinks they can just diminish sex based rights and women's safety concerns.

“BELIEVE ALL WOMEN! No, not like that!”

And people still question why women don’t come forward with reporting harassment and assault. Fucking absurd.

It's interesting how TRAs are even using the same line of defense against an accusation of sexual assault: "The child looked so she wanted it." / "It's the mother's fault for taking a child to a nude spa." / "She's just doing this for attention." / "It's made up."

Exactly. The fact that they can even view children in that light is beyond repulsive. There is zero justification for the attitude they’re demonstrating towards women and children.

In news from the "right side of history", being anti pedophilia is now "alt right".

Lol k. No. Bye.

If they want to call protecting spaces for women and girls only as anti trans,

Then I am proudly anti trans

Anyone who actually went to WiSpa to protest against trans persons directly is falling to the TRA sponsored misinformation campaign. The true feminist issues are women having safe spaces away from male patterned violence and having platforms in which to uplift other women. Most of the high profile women that have been targeted for harassment are concerned with these issues, but TRA's have successfully redirected the argument using targeted misinformation campaigns which cast high profile feminists as misaligned hate-mongers. Because the real agenda of the TRA's is just straight up anti-feminist and comes directly out of the Mano-sphere. The goal is not to protect trans people and never has been, the goal is to de-platform women and degrade women's rights.

Men in our culture are sympathetic to men's causes, even when some of those men identify as the oppressed group.

Anyone who comes into a space that is safe for women and starts engaging in male-pattern violence is not welcome. When transwomen do it, their supporters want to make the issue about their identity and co-opt victim status. The real issue is the abusive behavior. Engaging in this protests is just feeding into the identity politics redirect and it co-attracts alt-right nutjobs who would like to just hate monger. Pro-feminist women will never share a platform or ally with the alt-right because our core values are completely incompatible. What we really need, in my opinion, is more dialogue about abuse, and abusive behavior in the context of misogynistic belief systems.
