I'm so tired of the horseshit we call journalism nowadays. "Almost immediately, the discussion turned to trans rights, although it was never confirmed the nude person the women report they saw in the spa was trans." It doesn't fucking matter . Actually, that's the entire fucking point. We have no way of telling which male in our space is "trans" or not. This bullshit with "trans rights" is what made it legal for any man under any circumstance to enter private women's facilities. And now we have grown ass men exposing their dick and balls to underage girls.

[–] ciorafinska 81 points (+81|-0)

Lol, if he wasn't trans, what is Wi Spa's excuse for allowing him in the women's area? They pointed to the law preventing discrimination against trans people to defend themselves.

[–] IrishTheFrenchie 14 points (+14|-0)

Technically, he could just lie to them and everyone and there's nothing WiSpa can do about it. So if he said he's trans, that's what they have to go with.

[–] mittimithai 6 points (+6|-0)

Or tell the truth and say he is trans or that his "gender identity" is female, it isn't falsifiable either way.

[–] eleanormerchant 71 points (+71|-0)

Never confirmed? The Wi Spa themselves confirmed that they let the person in because they were transgender!

[–] eleanormerchant 51 points (+52|-1)

I'm obsessed with this Wi Spa thing. I'd really love to see it come to a court case.

[–] FedUp12345 63 points (+63|-0)

I'm so grateful to her for bringing her case forward. Her minor daughter was there. Her filming the events and now filing the police report led to more women speaking up. Maybe even more will speak up now too. I'd love to see grown men trying to justify how this is okay in court. Women don't play around when it comes to their children. Hell will ensue and rightfully so.

[–] radicalacceptance 42 points (+42|-0)

I wonder if that's why they brought it up though!!! Like that is a damn good point, this has become a fight about trans rights when there is actually no reason to believe that is even what is going on here. Wouldn't all the TRAs look like completely idiots making a scene about this if the particular guy in question wasn't even a man who pretends to be a woman?

[–] IrishTheFrenchie 21 points (+21|-0)

That kind of is the point, though. They've made it so ANY MALE can enter women's spaces, trans or not. So it's "trans rights" fault that he was in there.

[–] Gini 34 points (+34|-0)

I am just so proud of those 5 women for stepping up and filing official complaints with the police.

Well done ladies! And that is how we will get this done, slowly but steadily.

[–] [Deleted] 12 points (+12|-0)

Honestly! This is historic, it's the first solid step to pushing back against this. I hope their bravery inspires even more action, and even more women to feel okay about speaking up. We're all with them.

[–] radicalacceptance 75 points (+75|-0)

Lol if this is a "false flag" as has been alleged, women are really running a long, deep con! Super weird of women to ask for MORE investigation into their "fake" incident that "never happened."

[–] DraDra [OP] 74 points (+74|-0)

What got me about this Wi Spa thing is the behavior of the major media orgs in the US. It feels like they are crisis PR for “trans rights” rather than impartially and dispassionately informing the public.

[–] [Deleted] 30 points (+30|-0)

Yup. Tripping over themselves to defend predators. Wtf.

[–] Kevina 13 points (+13|-0)

I've started telling them that they're simping for pervs.

[–] [Deleted] 8 points (+8|-0)

I mean that's been the MO for a long time, always protecting men and demonizing women. Nothing new, same old shit.

[–] Lee-Side_ 59 points (+59|-0)

Are the "woke" all about trigger warnings? Where the heck are the trigger warnings for every female space that can be invaded by males?

[–] SpatOutTheKoolaid 36 points (+36|-0) Edited

Haven't you heard the propaganda? It's OK when it's a woman's dick. The good libfems have no problem with that because trans women are women no debate no questions, bigot The only predators out there are cisgender heterosexual white men and it's OK for us to no longer have sex segregated spaces anywhere in society because said cisgender heterosexual white men predators aren't stopped by existing boundaries so we might as well just let everyone in!

[–] Texture 13 points (+13|-0) Edited

Speeders are stopped by speed limits so we should stop enforcing it.

Also, murder is already illegal so no we don't need gun control.

[–] CheapSpider 11 points (+11|-0)

Yep, and of course no white man who randomly ids as a woman could ever do anything wrong, because x is always y, if x threatens enough people with violence and death.

[–] [Deleted] 32 points (+32|-0)

The wokies make no logical sense as a whole. They shift the goalposts every time it suits them and don't seem to have any idea how it makes them look.

[–] yikesforever 21 points (+22|-1)

They make up the truth as they go and are bullies. Just like Trump was, it's funny they hate him because they are just like him.

[–] mil-bil 11 points (+11|-0)

I keep saying that. Trump's gone but now these people are trying to out-Trump him all the time.

[–] [Deleted] 14 points (+14|-0) Edited

I firmly believe having men anywhere near feminism and speaking on our rights ruined the left. It could of been something in the days of our radical feminist sisters, but it took such a quick and deep dive into depravity. We need to just start fighting for ourselves and focus on what would benefit us as a group the most.

[–] realityismykink 22 points (+22|-0)

"trigger warnings" are only for truly traumatizing things like when a woman doesn't want to see your peepee

[–] mil-bil 8 points (+8|-0)

Only dictionaries should have trigger warnings. And JK Rowling's name on the books she's written. /s

[–] ArmyofMe 8 points (+8|-0)

It’s about the hierarchy of oppression. They think TIMs are more oppressed than actual women so our needs matter less.

[–] Kevina 7 points (+7|-0)

They don't care. They're literally out there saying that women and children are being rude for "staring at a tws genitals".

[–] emissch 56 points (+56|-0)

Women do not give a fuck what your identity is if you have a penis. A penis is all they need to know to recognize a threat, identity status or not. TRAs are gaslighting women into accepting penis into their spaces.

[–] SamuraiGhostCat 48 points (+48|-0) Edited

Penis or not, no male is safe to be in our spaces. There is a convicted TIM sex offender (can’t remember the name) who was transferred to a woman’s prison, got the “sex change” surgery (had his dick cut off), and he still proceeded to rape the women there with objects.

Males can’t be trusted.

[–] [Deleted] 13 points (+13|-0) Edited

Exactly. Male socialization breeds abusers and female socialization turns out victims. All with the patriarchy enforcing the status quo, punishment for us and reward for them. I don't care what they're doing to their bodies, the entitlement they've been raised with, the callousness and agression they feel towards women and girls will never change and we can't trust them in that alone.

[–] levitation 6 points (+6|-0)

you put this so eloquently and it's heartbreaking. all women are brainwashed into accepting or even "liking" abuse starting from infancy.

[–] Mary_C 32 points (+32|-0)

Males are on average bigger, stronger, and usually have a sexual interest in females. That's why we seperate the sexes in places where females are vulnerable and NAKED. It's not an attack on an individual man to disallow him from going into a female changing room and nobody's implying that particular man is going to rape the women and girls. It's based on observable facts about two classes of people and taking sensible precautions to protect the safety of the more vulnerable group.

The other side needs to at least acknowledge the reasons why women and girls do not want penises around them. But first, they would have to acknowledge that transgender women are in fact biological males, which they are unwilling to do.

[–] Kevina 9 points (+9|-0)

Me: I don't want males in my spaces for reasons Them: I, a female woman, got beaten up by cis girls in the locker room in hs Me: why is that relevant? Them: are u minimizing my trauma you monster? Girls are predators too!

[–] InfiniteGames 26 points (+26|-0)

Gah!

The article rehashes everything we know and comes to a dead halt at telling us there are 4 more reports. The fuck?! Where's the follow up? No interviews?

[–] dixiechick547 6 points (+6|-0)

I follow CubanaAngel on IG. I knew she’d filed a police report because she thanked the LAPD and it was implied other women had gone as well. She also said that guy who was claiming to have been the naked man was a liar and was actually Antifa. So it’s probably a good idea to just follow her IG if you want a heads up on what’s going on. You certainly won’t find it in the media.

As for Patricia Arquette there’s something really off about her. For one thing why is she the only sister who’s always popping off on trans issues? There’s another brother as well. My guess is she treated Alex badly when he was alive and now she’s acting out of guilt. Even for a celebrity, most of whom are dumb as a bucket of paint, her behavior is teetering on the edge of bizarre.

[–] Hermione 2 points (+2|-0)

Her brother detransitioned before he died apparently. Maybe she associates that with causing his death?

[–] RisingUp 0 points (+0|-0)

It wasn’t him? Damn, that is a bit disappointing. He would have been great publicity for GC.

Cubaba Angel seems amazing! Is she the main driving force for the reports being filed? I hope the lies and gaslighting have consequences when people find out it was all true.

[–] Jamiethiel2018 21 points (+21|-0)

Ignoring for the moment the "it didn't happen", "if it did happen, they weren't trans", dance, I think it might be a good thing that this is getting press. (The violence from Antifa is never good, and I deplore it. Sadly it got press, and we need that). I'm hoping many people come to the easy conclusion that Indecent Exposure and everything else illegal and associated with some who escalates is not just impossible to prosecute, but seems men can no longer even be charged. I dearly hope this speeds the peaking along. Were the lawmakers seriously brain dead, too paid off to care, or a combination of both? NVM, I remember now, women are non-people.

[–] YpsiRadFem Blerg 10 points (+10|-0)

Most people don’t like Antifa, I think. Having Antifa come out as pro-trans doesn’t help trans advocacy.

[–] Jamiethiel2018 6 points (+7|-1)

Yes, I do think Antifa has burned any bridges (other than pols using them) they may have once had. Are they having as much trouble focusing on goals as they seem to be having? It seems their main goal is chaos, and it just never occurs to them that only helps the establishment. With TRAs own goals at every opportunity, this added insanity hopefully will speed up the peaking. I'm holding on to hope white knuckled. I'm holding to the notion that the impetus for normal people to object will overcome their fear or desire to mind their own business.

[–] takshak 6 points (+8|-2)

there is no single "antifa". There are definitely large elements that are violent, misogynistic shits. There's also a lot of antifa that are non-violent and support women's rights. Antifa isn't an organization with a manifesto.

Hell, I just peaked two antifa friends.

Absolutely it's a good thing that it's getting press. The mainstream press blackout on these issues is the main problem here in the US.

[–] DraDra [OP] 19 points (+19|-0)

shoot..should I have posted this under the mega thread?

[–] SamuraiGhostCat 28 points (+28|-0)

I think the mega thread is pretty old now (like a month), so it should be okay to post it here. Otherwise people probably wouldn’t see it.

[–] Texture 10 points (+10|-0) Edited

There is this idea that minimum wage workers at the establishment where an offense takes place are going to help you, and that they'll call the police for you. They most assuredly will not. You ALWAYS have to call the police yourself.

[–] muliebrity 10 points (+10|-0) Edited

Jesse Singal has a long new piece on his Substack (locked for subscribers only - I wasn't a subscriber before but signed up just to read it. Worth $5 IMO). He goes through this whole thing, and picks apart the story the TRAs are pushing that it was a hoax.

On Wi Spa And Our Stunted National Conversation About Self-ID You can only prevent open discussion of controversial policies for so long

I won't quote too much (because Substacks are created for the individual author, not a media outlet), but here's a little:

it feels like the most common left-of-center responses when these issues are raised are gaslighting — not a term I use lightly given how frequently it is abused — and bullying. [...] I also cannot tell you how unlikely this is to work on the general public.”

He goes on about UK polling about people's comfort with non-op, pre-op, post-op transgender people, the way locker rooms/changing areas are rightfully more concerning for people than bathrooms, the insanity of how the media is ignoring the issue (or not, when Slate pushing the hoax narrative from a Los Angeles Blade piece, an LGBT paper, written by an anonymous author, using anonymous sources). This is not an issue where there are no trade-offs, and we're being denied the ability to discuss them at the national level.

Again, worth subscribing for, I think. The subscribers were engaging in a good discussion about it (my impression is that the responses lean much more towards GC, even if the commenters themselves may not describe themselves that way).

[–] ShieldMaiden 8 points (+8|-0)

If you do a Google News search for “Wi Spa”, the results are really disappointing with many media outlets claiming the video was a hoax.

Sooooo we should “believe all women” when they claim to be victims of sexual crimes….unless the perpetrator is maybe a transgender person? This is fucking laughable. One article said the spa claims that none of their transgender clients had appointments that day, but how do they know? A TIM who still has male genitalia but otherwise passes as female can simply self-ID as female and gain access to any space they want.

[–] SulphuricMirror 5 points (+5|-0)

I recently switched my default browser to duckduckgo partly for this reason, I was sick and tired of Google's obvious anti-female censorship, too many Tims working over at google, after they spent sufficient time rocketing their careers in "boy mode", of course. The other reason was that google pages were taking forever to load for some reason, I was sick of that, too.

[–] potheadpaisan 2 points (+2|-0)

I've also noticed that Google's search results have gone to absolute shit lately. Between the first page of results being entirely-sponsored content half the time and the blatant anti-woman bias in how information is presented, things have definitely gone majorly downhill.

[–] Researcher1536 1 points (+1|-0)

With as many TIMs in tech and TRAs in tech, I'm not surprised the results are being skewed.

[–] SulphuricMirror 1 points (+1|-0)

Yeah, I'm done with them. I still use gmail, but that's just because my account is old, I'll probably phase it out. I have another account with a more private email, and I might set up more possibly and start handing those emails out instead of my old main. Anyway, if you can switch search engines, I'd recommend it.
