So, now washing feet made Jesus into a woman.

This is a Baptist priest speaking on a panel called "Queer Theology" last summer. Speaker is Simon Woodman, of London's Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church.

"St James's Church Piccadilly A panel discussion on Queer Theology that took place at St James's in July 2021, including, Revd Simon Woodman, Angela Sheard, Revd Dr Christina Beardsley, Revd Sally Hitchiner and Revd Dr John Russell. Moderated by Frith Taylor from our Circus Spirit group."

From our announcement: https://ovarit.com/o/GenderCritical/50122/reminder-we-do-not-allow-linkposts-to-videos-images-or-idiots-misogynists-on-soc

We do not allow direct linkposts to videos, and we do not want most videos here at all (none of the mods like watching videos to make sure they are in line with the rules). Other circles permit video posts, including /o/FeministVideos which is probably where you want to post. We will permit text posts about videos that include a link to the video if the text post summarizes/describes the video so everyone has an idea of what it's about without having to watch it. However, if you post a Ben Shapiro/Blaire White/Jordan Peterson video we will still remove it unless you really write a very good conversation starter that makes it relevant to feminists. We do not exist to boost sexist men.

Please edit your post to include a description of what the video is about and provide feminist commentary/context that makes it relevant to this circle.

John 13:14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet. 15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. 16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.

I thought this was a pretty straightforward demonstration of the importance of humility and serving others, but no. If you accept that humility and service are just for women, the message becomes clear.

John 13: 34: A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

I am horrified that this guy is so sexist, that he believes that a man acting like a decent, empathetic human being is somehow "girly" and transgressive. What a low opinion of his sex he has!

The actions and teachings of Christ are very feminine. Love your neighbor, serve others, teach others to love and to serve, and submit to God the Father even if He sends you to your death by way of torture. There wasn't a masculine bone in his body. Still a man though because a woman wouldn't have been recognized as God.

So any man who is humble and serves others actually has an internal lady soul? Men cannot help others wash without their penis souls dissappearing?

My fiancee bathed our daughter last night. I guess I'm a lesbian now because he can't wash another person and still be a man! Same with my uncle who helped my grandfather with hygiene before a nurse was hired! A REAL man would let his loved ones die in filth before washing another person's foot! /s

And I thought the worst take on "transgender Christ" was that "he had to be trans because he only could've been born with xx chromosomes as a virgin birth"... but no! it's acting subservient?

To me the worst part of this clip is the assertion that being sexually celibate makes you gender-ambiguous just because it defied norms...

I'm so sick of these people and their stupid backwards stereotypes. I just got finished watching the videos of that recent episode of Dr. Phil where the TRA started to define female as vacuuming and cleaning.

No. Incorrect. Lol I'm that scene from Billy Madison right now: I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

But seriously, I'm all for highlighting the feminine metaphors/language for God in the Bible, but I can't with this kind of anachronistic "Jesus was trans/queer" nonsense.

They also imply that Joan of Arc was trans

Not to be all username checks out, but that also drives me crazy lol. A complete misunderstanding of Joan.
