Question Why the selective outrage from TRAs?

Today i saw a frontpage reddit post about periods and it only talks about women and girls and it's highly upvoted. I checked the ten highest comments, no trans nonsense either! Is the tide slowly turning?

TRAs monitor this website, so now that you've brought it to their attention I'm sure there will be a twitter crusade demanding a "male" character get his period too. Disney will have to make a movie with an all trans cast to atone, haha.

But yeah, it's disappointing how the leftist politicians have allowed themselves to be taken hostage by teenagers on twitter. I think in a two party system it's kind of inevitable for each party to have to pander way more to its extremist base than it does to the center. For example there are a lot of moderate republicans in the US, but virtually no one in congress that represents them anymore, the MAGA cult is holding that party hostage.

Wokesters are so contradictory sometimes. We all know how they rant about patriarchy just to turn around and deny the existence of women. I think there's some sort of compartmentalization going on where you can go full terf on one side but spit on feminists on the other when you're in TRA mode... I've seen this with some libfems. They'll talk about specifically female issues like we would, and at some point they just divert to TWAW and don't even seem to realize that those things are completely incompatible.

So the difference between JK and Disney in this context is that JK doesn't perform the trans/woke charade. She doesn't mind non whites, but she also doesn't go out of her way to shoehorn them everywhere like Disney keeps doing. She's honest and humble, accepting and caring, but the woke don't care about that. What they want is performance. They want you to scream the mantras at the top of your lungs. Whether you mean them or not is irrelevant.

They hate nuance too. There is no "I have no problem with homosexuals, but I didn't feel the need to include a gay character in that story". You stick a gay dude in there and you shut up. Doesn't matter if you actually think gay dudes are disgusting and should be beaten up. What matters is you've monkey danced. That's all.

I’ve actually seen a ton of people on twitter claim that Mei is a trans boy and that the film depicts going through puberty as a trans person, specifically the changes the body goes through when a girl starts T. Girls can’t have 1 thing to themselves.

Woke Twitter (and woke IRL spaces that act like Woke Twitter) are pretty much always hypocritical about things like this. Everything's fine until someone finds a way to criticize it that gains traction, and then suddenly it's something to compare to genocide.

Honestly, I think even a lot of the routine cancel mob members are exhausted by it, but are addicted to the rush of being part of the group outrage of it, and fearful of it turning on them; they don't know how to stop, joining in is practically an ingrained reflex at this point. An angry mob is their community, and without it they're alone. But I think a lot want to just be able to enjoy a cute, positive movie in peace. They watch something they like, maybe notice some things that are 'problematic' by current-minute Woke Twitter standards in it and just...keep their heads down and hope the cancel mob passes this one by. And if it doesn't, if it blows up into A Thing, they'll painfully turn on the performative outrage again and join in. But it's exhausting. It's walking on eggshells all the time trying to toe the line with this crowd and never knowing when the next big outrage will hit and from what direction...and that's the point. Because it keeps them compliant. Things being named the new Worst Thing Ever are rarely about how bad they actually are on a scale of 1 to 10, the point is keeping everyone riding this outrage rush from one thing to the next.

IRL example, have seen people go full angry frothy mob over two people who went home together from the bar and had tipsy sex (something they all do on the regular) while easily tolerating a convicted rapist among their group who buys them all drinks.

Is it because Disney is a male-dominated company and it's not as bad for males to acknowledge that biological females exist? Is it just because the trans indoctrination crowd only seeks out validation from real women?

It's probably a mix of that, and also the fact that the many faces at Disney aren't so readily available for harassment, I guess. JK Rowling is one author who created this entire world they're obsessed with and who is very clearly, very personally interacting with the trans movement to criticize it. She really put herself in the line of fire there.

I really feel like Rowling hurts them emotionally. Because, as I mentioned, she created the favourite book series of many transgenders and TRAs. They don't have the same connection to random executives at Disney. They used to love her and now, to them, she stabbed them in the back. Being hurt by someone you love is much worse than being hurt by people you don't even know. I'm not sympathizing with the TRAs, though, lol. It's good that they're in emotional anguish.

I would not look to Disney for any kind of moral behavior. They are sexist and have had a LOT of pedo scandals (probably exponentially more than we even know about) and put inappropriate stuff in content for children.

Oh, I'm sure there are TRAs out there whining that this movie doesn't feature a trans-girl who transforms into a panda after getting "her" first tummy ache from taking estrogen pills.

Also, Rowling was an easier target because she's the sole creator of the original HP books. A major film like Turning Red doesn't have one sole writer/creator TRAs can target for writing a "TERFy" story that only includes actual females

I wasn't aware of this film until I read this post, so maybe it will take a while for TRAs to call it problematic.
