If HR at work suddenly went woke, pronouns for all, gender inclusive language or anything else that elevates gender over sex, and you happened to get long with them in general, would you suggest they look into the threats to womens rights and advise them to be aware of the GC position to avoid bias or unintenional sex discrimination in their policies?

If so, how you go about it?

As an example, if they decided to make forms for new hires ask for gender identity instead of sex, then proudly announce that to the company, I'd point out the fact that not recording sex means the company may not be able to properly represent its position in a sex discriminiation case, or alternatively the claimant may not be able to prove discrimination if the company claims it doesn't know their sex. I'd also mention the potential GDPR issues around collecting and processing this kind of personal data with no good reason.

I've seen a suggestion around pronouns in emails, saying that being forced to declare that you're female could attract sex discrimination, alternatively it could make closeted trans people uncomfortable. I'd also argue it could cause gender dysphoria in people who've never even thought about it before.

Honestly, im not sure. I work at an REI and they have this "Womxn" run or whatever and running series/webinars and it was the biggest eyeroll ive ever had because in the same fucking description for the whole thing they include "fuel like a female boss" and "the running strides of females" or whatever like fuck, dude, you were so close. But that would also require the complete dismantling of the tagging system, males trying to fit their stupid bones into female cut shirts, crying that it's uncomfortable, and being directed into what would have been known as the men section. fortunately for me, we've got some oldies working there still, who would always refer to the mens and women's sections as such.

I would probably try to start a petition in the company against it. My company is full of young people but as far as I can tell most don't seem overly woke.
