Don't know if this is the place to celebrate it, but... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuVNzCnD8uA

Skip to about the 6-min mark to hear the quote. He basically says that Democrats need to realize that: "voter's focus is safe streets, not making women's swimming safe for men."

He hasn't done an entire segment on the genderwoo, but still. He straight up just called transwomen men. That statement alone suggests he's having misgivings about how crazy this gender stuff has become.

What do you guys think? Personally, I'm thrilled, seeing as he's quickly become my favorite late-night talk show host.

Oh he’s been anti gender BS for years. Said in 2016 that democrats needed to stop being the party of “transgender without borders” and focus on being the party of the working class again.

He’s a flame grade asshole on many things but I love him.

Yes!! I saw his live show in 2016 and he made quite a few transgender jokes - all about TiMs because outside of tumblr, nobody knew about TiFs. His show was actually one of the main things that led me to peaking.

I can't stand him, but at this point I'll support any non-conservative with a platform who dares to speak out against this dystopian nightmare we've tumbled into.

Can you elaborate on why you can't stand him?

Because he's an edgelord. I think it's annoying when people use that as a default approach to discussion because it's not effective. It doesn't change minds and it doesn't make people stop and think, at least not people who weren't already in agreement with whatever point he was making. The people who could benefit from chewing on whatever he was saying instead cover their ears or become defensive because they can't get past being offended.

He has a history of being a huge misogynist. He’s also an asshole to his fans.

He's gross and thinks he's liberal because he likes to fuck Black women who are inevitably much younger than him.

He's been calling it out for at least a few years. This one was after the 2020 election:

What is it about a "D" next to a candidate's name that makes it so toxic? Let's ask Ruben Gallego. He's a congressman from Arizona and he was asked how his Democrats can do a better job connecting to Latinos. He said, "First, start by not using the term Latinx," which the vast majority of Latinos have never heard of, and when they do, don’t like it. Who likes it? Pandering white politicians, who mistake Twitter for real people.

Last year I read about how NBC held an emergency meeting to determine if Mario Lopez should be fired from his job at Access Hollywood. I thought, holy shit, did he sexually assault somebody? No. He went on a podcast and when the host brought up the trend of liberal parents letting toddlers pick their gender identity, he said, "My God, if you’re three years old and you’re saying you think you’re a boy or a girl…I just think it’s dangerous as a parent to make that determination."

Cue the groveling apology, followed by America saying, yeah, I think Mario’s right. Maybe kids shouldn’t make big life decisions while you still need to make choo choo noises to get the food in their mouth.

Haha, the "need to make choo choo noises" comment really puts it in perspective. Little kids do not know what's best for them in the most basic ways; why should we believe they are Annointed Prophets of Gender when they say they're something they don't understand?

I have a 3 year old nephew and a 2.5 year old son. Ask them any question, any question at all, and 9 times out of 10 they just reply with “…Yeah… :D”

Freaks me out to think about how these munchausen mommies are framing these conversations with a toddler. Honestly freaks me out, period, to think about anyone having that type of conversation with a toddler, it’s wrong. There’s no way to have this “talk” with a toddler without grooming and leading questions.

Maher is probably the only mainstream comedy guy that's liberal but not on the woke bandwagon.

Yay for Bill Maher. When Trump won, I liked all the other hosts too - Colbert, Meyer, Kimmel and Noah. But sadly, turned out they're nothing but Dem fanboys who'd just cheer on whatevs the Dems are on. I'm disappointed in Colbert, particularly. I like Bill Maher a little better, at least he's still sane. Not into woke, cancel culture stuff.

I'm disappointed in Colbert, particularly.

He used to seem like a nice guy with morals and principles. I guess that's no longer the case.

What happened to Colbert? I'm a bit out of the loop

I don't think he's as bad as the other late night hosts, but I believe he's jumped on the TRA train.

James Carville is GC too. He talks about the woke folk and pronouns quite a bit. I like his podcast

Bill Maher does have his misogynistic side, but I love how anti-BS he is. If he sees something he doesn't think twice about calling it out, even from his own team.

He's said a bunch of GC things over the past few years. He's aware of the issue and - if not alarmed, concerned.

He's an old-fashioned liberal (free speech kind of guy). I used to find him a bit pompous, but in these hard times, I'd rather listen to him than any of the other late night 'comedians'.

He keeps saying he hasn't changed, the party changed when people call him out for his anti-wokeness. I feel the same way. the party has left me.

I like him because I have very similar political opinions to him. He’s not into the woke bullshit, but generally supports LGB rights and single-sex spaces. We also have similar positions on increasing taxes to provide more infrastructure and services, which is what makes us more liberal in the US. It’s a problem because I often feel like believing in gender woo is a requirement for also believing in a woman’s right to choose and the general concept of being interested in the wellbeing of society as a whole.

Maher has been taking nibs at the gender woo for years, and has been very careful about not terfing out, entirely.

Last August he had Olympic medalist Donna De Varona on, to discuss the sports issue. And this was before anyone ever heard of Lia Thomas.

Do you think he's intentionally being careful? I'm not sure that TRAs aren't just ignoring him because he's an older white dude and they suspect he's someone they can't bully into submission.

He has made other remarks too. Just little things but he is GC. He really hates the woke crap and he is sane. He made fun of them on his last HBO special. It is on HBO max.
