Here's a link to an IG post. For those who don't have IG or can't read it right now, lemme sum it up for you.

There are 3 slides in this post. The first is a screenshot of a TikTok user named _ciaraelizabeth; the text on her video states "my Dad is abusive and in 7th grade he came out as trans, and when he did he held a gun to his head and said if we didn't support him he'd shoot himself right there." (gaslighting 101, kids!)

Slides 2 and 3 are screenshots of TikTok users commenting on the video. Not to say how awful and abusive her Dad is, but to tell her off for ~misgendering~, even if he is abusive, because transphobia kills people!!! And also to correct the pronouns this 17 yr old girl used to decsribe her abusive TIM Dad, to she/her/hers.

I couldn't believe it. I lost my shit and dove into the TikTok comments (I have an account for the lols, it's quite a good app if you know how to stay away from the gender nonsense) and started going after the people chastising her. Thankfully, there are an increased number of commenters supporting this girl for not pandering and using female pronouns for her POS Dad. Anyone else who wants to join the fray, more the merrier.

Honestly, this is Gen Z in a nutshell. I GUARANTEE you almost all of the people banging on about pronouns are blue-haired idiots under the age of 25 (obvs not all Gen Z-ers have their heads up their arses when it comes to gender stuff but most seem to).

Also - mods, apologies if I used the wrong circle, I wasn't entirely sure where to put this.

These people are f*cked up. They've been brainwashed to think "misgendering" (aka 'rightly sexing') someone is the worst crime ever, that murders people. Geezus.

I've really been learning just how easily humans are influenced thanks to this movement. People can be made to believe that men can actually be women and male rapists should be allowed in women's prisons. That misgendering is worse than actual physical abuse or rape. (etc, etc, etc)

Humans are really much more simple than we'd like to believe.

Isn't it interesting and telling that from that story all of the commentators immediately jumped to the conclusion that the trans parent is a male (who's being "misgendered" in the post) and not a TIF? I mean, it could be the mom who OP now identifies as dad.

But all of them instinctively knew that the abusive narcissist who threatens suicide on a whim has to be a male.

These are the people who, if they were born 70 years ago, would be telling women to stop being nags if they didn’t want their husbands to drink and hit them so much.

They’re so fucking stupid, they just can’t see it. They will always find a way to make men victims.

Yeah, I've been slowly losing hope for my generation but I think quite a large portion of us have gc or moderate views. I don't think it's all of Gen Z, I know tumblr culture has a lot to do with it.

I have to agree. I have noticed a major change in tumblr in the last 5 years or so. I don't think it was ever not-woke but the wokeness has won on tumblr. You can't do anything on there (dieting, fandom, parenting, soapmaking, hobbies, science) without the wokeness.

An acquaintance quit Tumblr because she’s in the dog-training community. Someone posted some short clip of themselves training their dog on Tumblr, and she said she wasn’t familiar with that method, could she explain it to her? And this woman just jumped down her throat about how she wasn’t doing anything wrong, she was just training her dog, just because she has never seen it before doesn’t mean it’s bad or wrong, her ignorance of something doesn’t make her an expert, she should just shut up and just observe and then maybe she’ll learn something (what a great thing to keep in mind - not just in the dog-training community, but everywhere, right? If you don’t know something, just shut up and watch and don’t ask any questions. That’s how you learn. 🙄).

She was like, ....Whoa. Sis. I legit was just curious and was genuinely interested. I didn’t think you were doing something “wrong”. Wanted to know, because I can use it and implement it, and I always want to learn. And now it’s all “Well I’ve been abused in the past and I’m VERY sensitive about being questioned and YOU should know not to just question people about stuff because it could set them on edge and trigger them and don’t try to defend yourself you were clearly interrogating me about my methods and even if you weren’t you really need to think about what you’re doing and how you say things because it can be REALLY harmful for people who have triggers because they’ve have traumatic experiences” and the whole eighteen yards and all.

And of course everyone else is all “Yeah So-And-So here has a right to be upset! Triggers! Abuse! Emotional labor! She doesn’t owe you anything! How dare you! Trauma! Offended!” so she’s just like, fuck this, I’m out.

I’ve never had a Tumblr account, but I’ve visited a few times, honestly like someone visits Chernobyl to gawk at the ruins. It’s just like...how can do many people be so...unstable.

I have a Tumblr account and it really is something where you have to pick and choose what sort of stuff you follow, isn’t it?

Fancy posting what’s essentially an instructional video and then having a tantrum when someone is interested enough to want more information. Imbeciles.

You know, maybe Biden will pick a fight with some underpowered little country and Gen Z will worry about something not themselves for five seconds. You know, like war and death and famine and etc.

I don't actually want war but this is all so shallow.

Doubt it. Then it will be “This war will have the worst repercussions of all on the trans and non-binary community of Baluchistan. Since I’m non-binary, I admit I find myself unable to think about anything or anyone else, but that’s normal, right?”

Balochistan is a province of Pakistan and the way western TIMs and TRAs appropriate Hijras and "transgender" people of this region's struggles is already so obtuse.

Most "transgender" people are not self-ided rather people with actual intersex disorders or feminine men who are forcefully castrated because they don't fit the mould. They live a life of prostitution and begging on the streets. They are banished from society.

I belong to the region and my blood boils every time someone tries to bring them up to show how natives and other religions have a "third" gender.

[–] starsstorm 9 points (+9|-0)

They have to be able to see that he’s abusive.

[–] Freyja 19 points (+19|-0)

Sure they can, but it never takes precedence over ~transphobia~

[–] How 7 points (+8|-1)

I would actually kill myself before I abused my child in that way. If my brain glitched and I thought it was a good idea to try to convince my daughter that I'm a man against all observable evidence. I would rather die.

[–] PollyEsther 6 points (+6|-0)

To them, misgendering is violence, more than actual violence.

[–] PollyEsther 5 points (+5|-0) Edited

To them ~misgendering~ is the most abusive thing in the world, more than actual abuse.
