Of course left and green parties were only ones who voted yes πŸ™„

I was surprised at first that FDP were completely out of there because they had people working on this bill with green and left but apparently they made their own version that was slightly different. So this vote was probably a "we are in solidarity with you but we want slightly different wording."

I haven't read yet what FDP wanted changed so badly that they wrote up a completely new document though.

Pleasantly surprised to learn that SPD is a socialist-leaning party, seeing how TRAs have completely appropriated far-left parties for their own goals in other countries. To any German women here, how has this vote been received by the average person?

To any German women here, how has this vote been received by the average person?

Pretty much noone outside of the TRA or gender critical bubble even know that it happened.

Every person in my life that I showed what this bill is going to be didn't want it and thought it was crazy. I don't think anyone but twitter trans activists thought in the first place that this would be approved because it just seems too insane to be a reality here.

So, everyone I know has been like "...well, duh" when hearing how badly it failed the vote.

That tells German women who NOT to vote for . . . Time for some shoes to be lined up!

I can't really understand the big picture if this vote. Someone mentioned the vote wasn't so much failure of the concept being pushed, but that the proposed law was badly written and another party wants to make it tighter and bring it up for vote again? If that is indeed the case then there's not much to celebrate, it seems.

The big picture is that this was absolute insanity and nothing like this will ever get a a majority vote here and now the activists know.

If SPD is helping to work on this law it will look nothing like the bill they proposed and the greens & left will never agree to that. Everyone has their own version of what a change to this law could look like and CDU and AFD will never vote in favour of any of them.

Unless in the next election left or green win the whole election, this will never happen.

Kinda offtopic, but german is a terrifying language. Look at how many consonants that big first word has. But yeah, i see more german women leaning with the right wing and this is totally destroying left wing worldwide
