Turn out was nice. 11 of us. I wasn't the only lesbian for once. A conversation about tims came up and I was surprised some of them said they think many are faking!

Some started the blah blah twaw, but we changed the subject. They brought up goldstar lesbians and I just lmao. It's so true only non lesbians are offended. They asked me what I thought and I said I'm gold star, so what? I explained that growing up it wasn't an insult, but they wouldn't believe me.

One of the girls who's nonbinary, demisexual, two-spirit, pan+ (not even exaggerating) this chick names off this huge list. The other lesbian asked wtf does all that mean and she said she's only attracted to minds ๐Ÿ™„ Purple hair. Of course.

The only attracted to "minds" chick was sitting there practically naked. She said she was disappointed that lesbians only wanted sex from her like men. Uhh yeah. We don't want to sit around and just talk about feelings with you.

Walp, had fun regardless.

before I went down the reddit hole, I never fought that gold star was some kind of slur. Sure, it can be used to taunt someone but honestly I always was rather proud to be one because it meant I didn't had to go through all this bullshit of pretending to be something I'm not. But with social media, you're not allowed to be proud of yourself anymore except when you're having some kind of mental illness.

Being a gold star is a great thing. My wife is a gold star and she's unapologetic about it. I on the other hand did have to go down that hole of pretending to be something I'm not.
