I've got a question for all of my lesbos here! I live in the Midwest but in a very democratic city. All of the other lesbians I know are left leaning, pro Trans rights and super progressive.

My question here is, where does everyone sit on the political scale? I don't want to start depates or fights of any kind. I've just been very curious about this and have been scared to talk about it in my "queer" group of friends. I feel safe here to have an open minded conversation here.

Myself personally am conservative. I don't align with either party because I think they both are completely bogus. I vote for people whom I feel are pro America and pro constitution. I think Washington DC is full of monsters who should probably all get flushed and we can start a new 😁 (if only) What about you?

I’ve always considered myself a realist and a centrist, but that probably means something very different in Canada versus the US. I support our socialized medicine system, acknowledge white privelege and racism, climate change is real, I believe in democracy, good school systems, and a free press. I think there’s a balance to be had between social supports and individual responsibility… but I’m loathe to scrap programs that keep kids out of poverty.

I often find my political beliefs clash with those I’m dating- whether they’re completely ignorant about politics and find me extreme or whether they are super left think I’m either ignorant or a fascist (I kid, kinda). Tolerance for disagreement is important to me.
