I'd like to know what tipped off the 911 dispatcher that something was very, very wrong. I would think that high profile people like the Pelosis would have some kind of flags on their addresses/numbers in local 911 systems and that would be a huge tipoff for cops to haul ass when an intruder's in the house.
The first version of the story had the housekeeper calling the cops because she heard noises and didn't know Paul had company.
A later version of the story has Paul going into the bathroom, where he was supposedly charging his phone at 2:30am, to call the police himself. This version makes no sense for several reasons. The police were called out for a welfare check. Did he call in the welfare check on himself? When? In the police audio, the cop reports that Paul told him that man there was his "friend" named "David" and that he (didn't want them to come out, but rather) just wanted to wait for his wife to get home. If you have an intruder in your home, you wouldn't downplay the situation to such a degree that the cops might not even respond. And you definitely wouldn't do that if you're trying to get the cops to show up. Also: What attacker allows his victim to take a bathroom break? Paul and David were both in their underwear struggling over a hammer when the cops did arrived, let in by a 3rd person, who is not identified. And David only hit Paul with the hammer after the cops were there. Why did the cops allow Paul to be attacked? Both men were taken to the same hospital. David's injuries have no been revealed. There is no mugshot. No footage has been released. And David was not charged with breaking and entering, despite being charged with about six offenses.
The underwear thing, according to reliable sources, is a lie. In fact the entire rigmarole you have there is pure right-wing Pelosi-hatred.
That was quick thinking on Paul's part to go to the bathroom to get his phone and call.
