I know it’s a legal thing when the perpetrators haven’t been charged, let alone convicted, but I *hate” seeing violent in scare quotes and allegedly scattered through reports on male abuse.

Good on that poor woman for having the courage and wit to take the chance to tell the employee, and good on him and his friend for pushing the police to do something. I hope to goodness she will be safe.

The employee revealed he found it difficult to get the police to take the case seriously when he originally went to report the incident.

He said he only managed to get the officers to take action through a friend who knew a cop. He told local media: "There is a lot of bureaucracy and a lack of empathy."

This is so fucking disgusting... I'm glad the employee at least did treat it as seriously as he should have and went out of his way, rather than giving up when the police just shrugged their shoulders.
