This is in the circle rules:

All posts should be links to a primary news report by a news site (not links to secondary commentary--that can be included in the comments). Post only what has already been made public.

Last month I was able to submit a text post but today I realized only link posts are an option now. There's a TIM I want to post about but the only page (it's not even a news site I think) that talks about him after his coming out is very brief, while I have many other links and text I want to feature. (news reports, prison pen pal site, his testimonial for a capital punishment abolitionist org). If you tell me I should just post all that in a ridiculously long comment I will, but I don't understand why text posts are not allowed?

Is there an appropriate category/flair in /o/Nametheproblem?

I'm neither a mod nor a site dev, but, I think having a circle like /o/Thisneverhappens is a brilliant idea because it becomes a readymade repository of links that you can post on other sites to inform or school ppl about these realities, without having to give away anything about ovarit if you don't want to.

Sorry to chime in here, but I also wanted to mention that I wish we were not limited to only using the exact title of an article as the title of our post. People might think, “Oh, I already know this story” and not click on it, when I am actually asking a specific question about it and want to draw people’s attention to that. So not sure why we can’t make post titles slightly more descriptive.

If you want to ask a question or start a discussion about an article / link make a text post with the link in the body.
