Today is our Second birthday!

Thank you to everyone who has made this journey with us and contributed to this platform and the communities on it and proven that it’s not as easy to shut women up as some people would like.

Has Ovarit made a difference in your life? Are there any communities here or users here you’d like to celebrate?

I’d especially like to thank @grrrandma. She adds most of our software features and fixes most of our bugs and we wouldn’t have any of this without her. She’s a brilliant and tenacious programmer and problem solver and she inspires me so much. Thank you!

I can't believe it's been 2 years and I don't miss Reddit at all! we should all pat ourselves on the back because this is a fine community!!

The only reason I miss reddit is because of some of the longtime users who don't seem to have made it here in the migration. I hope they do eventually. Everything else is so much better here. I love not giving money to a misogynistic platform.

w/r/t to gender critical reddit, I do miss r/gcdebatesqc or whatever it was called. it was a good way to see TRA arguments to various GC statements, even though they were infuriating in the lack of any real logic or reality

I do not miss modding the debate sub, but I do miss talking shit with friends about the ridiculous things they said on it.

Big shout-out to our mods who always put up with our bullshit. We may not always see your work but we know it's there.

Thank you so much to all the mods+programmers+contributors. This place has kept me sane in this endless sea of bullshit ❤️

Happy birthday Ovarit!!

Thank you to all the programmers for making this site so easy to use. It sounds like a tough job but you guys are exceptional!

Thank you for creating a place where women of all ages, races, and backgrounds can come together. As a young woman, there aren’t many opportunities to connect with older women in my day to day life. The wisdom, kindness, and courage of the women here has made such a positive difference in my life, and I feel confident and emboldened knowing there are so many brilliantly intelligent and compassionate women who will stand up and fight with me or support me. The sense of camaraderie and pure female energy that this site supports is priceless and I value it so much. ❤️

I love that! ❤️ Women are powerful together when we know we’re not alone!

Happy Birthday, Ovarit! You've made such a huge difference in my life. I love all the articles posted, the wise comments, the space to be free as a GC woman. Thank you, thank you!

And again, yes!!!

Thank you so much for this site.

Think of what we took away from Reddit

When they banned us, they took a downaward spiral into the seedy cesspool they are. We were banned before r*pe porn

Happy birthday! 🎂🎉 Ovarit gave us a gift, not the other way around :)

I'm forever grateful to the BTS team that keeps all of this running. Happy birthday, Ovarit! And thank you, devs!

You know I love this place!!!

I think you’re even the one who gave me my invite code!

Do I get to call you ’mom’, lol? And anyone I invite will continue the matrilineal line

Hey, if dudes are fighting for that right, makes sense we can

Happy Birthday to Ovarit, you're glorious!

Thank you, @girl_undone, you should be very proud. Thank you to @grrrandma, who inspires me, and to all of the mods and posters here, I thank you for the best community of women I've found online.

I appreciate the ideas I've had changed, the solidarity, and especially the humor. It feels so good to know I am laughing with sisters all over the world, and we can hold each others' hands in metaphor, when the trials of being women get too much to bear: only sisters understand.
