Wow, the new look Ovarit is beautiful. Very clean and much easier to follow threads than before.

Well done development team! And thank you!

If anyone is wondering what is going on, only people who have enabled experimental features in their user settings are seeing the changes.

The only feature I don’t like is the dark grey lines beside comments. Makes them look like quotations and is a bit confusing.

I do like the way pictures and screenshots are now included in the post, so one doesn’t have to click separately on them and on the comments. Big improvement.

Yeah I think the left comment collapse lines are too dark, I think we will lighten them. And change the quoteblock lines too.

Would it be possible to make the comment boxes open to full length when editing them, please? The opening to show just one line of text makes it really awkward when using a tablet, never mind a phone.

Minor issue, was it intentional to limit the width of content so much (when within a thread)?

It looks fine with a smaller browser window, but when maximized on a 2560x1440 screen, it restricts things to quite a narrow column on the left now, which I don't think it was doing before the update?

I prefer it. Makes it easier to read without huge long lines to scan with the eye. Like newspaper column. It does mean more scrolling though, you're right about that.

Yes, on large monitors the lines of text would just be so long, I don’t know how anyone would be able to track.

I didn’t notice, but good eye!

I’m like a dude in that sense. I don’t notice things like weight loss or haircuts unless it super obvious

With Ovarit, I just thought “it’s pretty” and that I was getting better at navigating.

My only wish is that we had the option to open text-based posts in a new tab.

Most browsers let you do that. My mobile gives me the option if I press and hold on a link, and my laptop will do it if I hold Ctrl while I click.

I know, and I try to remember to do that. I have been on reddit for 10 years so its a hard habit to break, I always accidentally end up closing the tabs.
