Fun fact: the word "otaku" means "house," as in never leaves the, and is used to refer to extremely obsessed anime fans in Japan. Americans use the word unironically but yep, it describes a lot of those fans pretty well too.

Even funnier is that the word used to be a polite way to refer to someone's home, but like "omae" and "kisama" it's degenerated over time to being a derogatory term.
