"Intersex" my ass, I bet they're not. I feel so bad for the intersex people who are the REAL appropriated ones here. They've spoken out so many times only to get trampled over by the T.

[–] ComplicatedSpirit 11 points (+11|-0)

I suspected the same. I’ve heard rumors that PCOS and even certain forms of infertility are now being described by some people as “intersex”.

There’s also the fact that self-diagnosis is basically the shit right now.

Yes, I have PCOS and I've seen this in the past and it pisses me off so much. Especially since the messed up hormones are just a side effect of the underlying metabolic disorder's effects on the ovaries.

3/4 of the women in my immediate family have PCOS and I find it laughable that someone might claim there are therefore more intersex people in my immediate family than women by their definition. Nobody can be serious about that. It's pure nonsense.

Lunacy at its finest. That’s why people need to started ignoring accounts with picrew, furry, and anime character avis. They’re all nuts and want to use every label and pronoun under the sun just to feel special

How can you be a "he", but also non-binary, but also a lesbian? This is every identity rolled into one. Sheesh, use a genderspecial label if you must, but stick to one.

[–] yikesforever 8 points (+8|-0) Edited

how do non-binaries use any sort of sexuality label? since they are all based on being female/male and having a sexual attraction to male/female... except maybe pansexual? idk.

how do non-binaries say they are only sexually interested in other nbs?

what about the rest of the genders? how do they talk about their sexuality since they basically think their gender is their sex, but no sexuality includes their made up shit

[–] gentoo 2 points (+2|-0)

Most they/he lesbians I've met are just gender non-conforming women who are uncomfortable with female gender stereotypes and think preferring masculine aesthetics makes them a different gender.

It's always weird to me that they defend their lesbian identity so adamantly. Like, aren't you just admitting that despite the pronouns, you're just a woman who likes other women?

[–] PlainSimpleTailor 2 points (+2|-0) Edited

I mean, if you see through the gender bullshit, it's not that hard to explain. They're awfully transparent once you really listen to them. The non-binary identity seems to attract primarily women who want to escape misogyny and be treated like a complete person, and what better way to say "I don't care what you see me as, as long as it's not woman" than to use they/he pronouns? And if these women are also homosexual, they'll probably feel even more alienated by society, which either fetishizes or demonizes wlw attraction, so that's one more reason to distance yourself from your womanhood. At the same time, these women know that straight male spaces are not a great place to be for women, and many also "started out" as regular lesbians before claiming trans status, so they're reluctant to leave the lesbian community. It makes sense, women enjoy and seek the company of other women because it's safer. And what happens when you want to stay in a (at least formerly) female-only space and be treated and seen as a fellow female by women, but not by men? A they/he lesbian.

"THE QUEER YOUR MAMA WARNED YOU ABOUT"

[–] ouvalemonde GIRLBO$$ 5 points (+6|-1)

"Mama"? That sounds Southern, he's appropriating my culture!!!!!! >:(((((((

[–] starsstorm 14 points (+14|-0)

This just tells me they’re a man...

[–] purpleratata 5 points (+5|-0)

They and he lesbians are usually females. Saying you're a lesbian nowadays is not enough, you have to be non binary at least or use special pronouns for the oppression points

[–] hufflepuff-poet 14 points (+14|-0)

What does this tell me about this person?! They/he lesbian?!? Are you a male or a female? Are you same-sex or opposite-sex attracted or both or neither? Words have meanings, how is this effective communication with others...

[–] tacocat 18 points (+18|-0)

It tells you that he's a narcissist, that he's going to be a huge pain in the ass to deal with, and that eventually you will want to chuck him into the garbage.

[–] TerfSedai 🌗✨♀️✨🌓 13 points (+13|-0)

Well to be honest, this kind of wordsalad DOES tell us this person is male.

[–] Every-Man-His-Own-Football 11 points (+11|-0) Edited

What does this tell me about this person?!

straight, male, mentally ill

Edit: at least the latter he could do something about

[–] LadyGlum 3 points (+3|-0)

I know a they/he lesbian who is female and it boggles my mind. They're not even in a homosexual relationship, they're with a TIM. And they don't think of themselves as female at all, so on what level are you a female loving another female? If you believe your male partner is a woman and can be in a lesbian relationship, then how can you simultaneously believe your they/he self is a lesbian because you're female? I cannot wrap my head around it. I know these people don't need logic, just validation, but they'll say multiple impossible things in one sentence.

[–] goatsauce 13 points (+13|-0)

I'm so fucking tired. Being a lesbian is like the rest of humanity just trying to exhaust the fuck out of you every day.

[–] CJR 8 points (+8|-0)

Exactly this. I am so sick of having my reality appropriated, twisted, chewed up and regurgitated into meaningless male pandering and fetishism. What hurts me most though is when those who know me and know better, instead of standing up against this stuff and calling it out, say nothing or agree because it's just easier (for them). If ever we needed to to stand together as a sisterhood, it's now.

[–] goatsauce 1 points (+1|-0)

Yeah, I have to turn off the part of my brain that gets mad about it or else I wouldn't be able to function. Dating has been an absolute shit show for almost a decade now, and it's only gotten worse when every "queer" event I've tried to go to (especially before peaking) was filled with the most awkward, weird-looking men who would introduce themselves as Emily or Alice or Jade or something weird. If I was lucky, I could find another lesbian in the crowd, but the atmosphere always would feel so "please smile and enjoy yourself, we're TRYING TO BE INCLUSIVE!!" that flirting almost seemed like a hate crime. Anything I could find that had even sort-of-gay women just felt like attending a middle school dance reenactment for adult women and their collection of ugly crossdressing men. I know lesbians exist, I know we're real, and I know we don't like penis, but I have to tell that to myself all the time to stay sane now.

"Intersex". XX chromosomes and typical female phenotype, correctly observed female at birth, but "gender neutral brain", self diagnosed no doubt. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Also "disabled". Uh-huh, right.

ETA Apparently that's a guy. Wtv man.

[–] legopants 3 points (+3|-0)

There's such an increase in these people faking disabilities. My ex friend called herself "disabled" because her feet/body hurt after walking a lot like any human being alive in the entire universe. I'm not even exaggerating or kidding. It was pathetic, and gross to watch someone who's 100% able bodied pretend theyre going to be wheelchair confined and can't leave the house. Of course she identified as trans as well. It's just label after label to say "I never take responsibility for any of my actions because it's all my mental and physical illnesses" / to never leave their house or work or do anything ever.

[–] spottedhyena 7 points (+7|-0)

some idiot I work with is doing this. it's stupid af especially considering we are a women's only rehab facility.

That's quite a complex way to tell lesbians they really should have sex with (straight) men.
