Does anyone know where this was published?

Nevermind - found it on Twitter. It is from the Alabama Times Daily if anyone else was interested.

Great letter. I suspect it wouldn't get published in most mainstream media.

I don’t know about that. It’s signed with a man’s name, after all.

This is so great. “Having a personality”. I love it.

This is great. I think it's generally so much more difficult to just be your authentic self, and with the instant gratification culture we've got going on today, many people don't have the bravery / backbone to stand up for themselves. One person laughing at them is enough to completely break their resolve, and seeking external validation is everything. What happened to sticking a middle finger up to what everyone else thinks? What happened to holding on to your own values and authenticity despite external pressure?

Whaaaaa, spending thousands on drugs and surgery is not the way to my authentic self? No wai.

It pains me to know this is now a controversial opinion when it's just pure common sense.

If common sense was actually common, more people would have it!

I truly, honestly believe that most people would agree with that sentiment if they took the time to actually read it - and that includes TRAs.
