I kinda have a gripe with this new approach. Therapy is meant for interpersonal relationships and for yourself to be better and deal with things.

It does not apply to political situations, when you become a public figure it stops being about you. You can draw line for sure, with respect to your private life but then you're speaking about the beliefs you're representing you absolutely have to engage with the public, with people who agree and those who disagree.

People like her have no place in such a world, because they lack the maturity to navigate that environment. Truthfully a lot of our officials have no business being in office, but at least they know how to shmooze with the best of them.

Yes, exactly! Trans people are doing their communities a great disservice by making their mental health issues into a civil rights issue. The public should absolutely make space for people with mental health issues, but public life should not be based on the conceptions of people with mental health issues.
