Pro-life movement has never really been about protecting life, just perpetuating the cycle of poverty.

100% this. It’s why they’re okay with embryos being tossed out during IVF treatments, or abortion in cases of rape.

I know some hardcore anti-abortion people… because I’m old friends with someone who is now a catholic priest…and they at least are against all of this. I’ve had debates and pressed for responses with my friend. I don’t even care to listen to or speak to pro-life people who aren’t also anti IVF, anti medications produced with fetal cells, etc.

I feel the same way, I've even known anti-choicers who got IVF themselves. They hypocrisy is almost shocking. I'm beyond listening or talking to antis at this point though, especially if they're male.

Fake as in they didn't block the bill? Or fake like the stupid quote at the end which seems pretty obviously to be tacked on in order to showcase the hypocrisy wasn't actually said, but they still didn't want to aid pregnant women in a pandemic?

Either way they don't give a fuck.

Yes, it's clear that that's not a real quote.

I never viewed it as a real quote, I always just saw it as summing up the view of pro-lifers
