Neither. We used to make sandwiches in our oven - I liked it because we could put tomatoes and basil on bread and we could make a whole batch at once. This yeat after a holiday my partner got enamoured with toasted bread he cooked in hostels and so he bought a toster. And while I agree with his reasoning, that sometimes you only need two toasts, not a whole batch, I still don't like that I can't put tomatoes on my bread if I use a toaster. And it takes up space!
Omg bread in the oven with tomatoes and basil sounds incredible, what a genius idea… I have to try this, add some cheese too perhaps 🤔
My paryner adds cheese sometimes - he is not a vegan. But if you ask me vegan or not, tomatoes and basil is already a perfect pairing:)
I'm getting an above-stove microwave, so where I have my microwave now, I can put a toaster oven. Especially with winter on the way. I could have a small crockpot AND a toaster oven where my big microwave currently sits. Thanks for posting!
I love a toaster oven, but i don't have a microwave. Small kitchen, don't like them.
Both. Sometimes I just want toast. And sometimes I didn't want to heat up my big oven so I use a toaster oven for dinner or baking
I haven't had a microwave for 10 years. Haven't needed it, haven't missed it :)
A toaster oven. So many more uses for the counter space. Mine is just as convenient as a toaster for those things. Just chuck them in and turn the toast knob to the time that I want. No fiddling with controls just for toast. Plus I can toast things that aren't necessarily dry. Bread with butter and garlic for some lazy garlic toast? Maybe butter and cinnamon sugar for a sweet tooth craving. Maybe a little bit of cheese or something. I don't have to wait on the oven to heat, I can just toss it in the toaster oven.
Panini press.
Fancy!
I never got around to getting either but a friends mom gave me a panini press so I’ve been using it. And it works wonders :3
Ever since I was introduced to the wonders called “toasties” I too would love a sandwich press
