All of my research has not pointed to any one cause, and that's confusing. it's not making sense to me and it feels like it can't be real that men today have 50% less testosterone than men two or three generations ago. Is this an overblown problem? I really don't see how this is possible. If it was an environmental cause wouldn't we be seeing hormonal disturbances in women's bodies too? I have not heard anything about that, but given how little interest medicine takes in women's bodies, it wouldn't be surprising if no one's done any research.

So far I've seen people blame soy, feminism, birth control pills in the water, and some combination of that. But no concrete explanation and no solution. Anybody have any idea what's really going on?

Just winging’ it here, but a few things have changed drastically in the last 50 years:

• Plastic ubiquity in food packaging and containers (including heating/reheating food in plastic by microwave oven).

• Soy (an estrogen-mimicker (I can’t recall the proper term)) filler in lots of processed food (esp. fast food meats).

• Drugs, including BC, in wastewater that is cycled back into potable water.

• overall huge cultural shifts from active to sedentary and a huge increase in sugar consumption leading to a massive increase in metabolic syndrome and diabetes.
