General interest If there were more female scientist, what do you think are the advancements would we probably see more of and in what fields?

I saw this question on Reddit and thought I'd post here as well. For me personally, I would hope that better birth control and better treatment for women's health in particular would be more widespread (as especially with medical research and treatments specifically geared towards women that doesn't just treat women like the smaller versions of men solely because women's hormones are too "mEsSy" to study with apparently).

And on that topic, what other type of scientific advancement or innovation do you think could heavily benefit women specifically if it were ever to come to be?

Fucking everything.

I worked in a female - dominated lab once. The teamwork was AMAZING. I wish I’d worked harder to stay there but it was one of my first lab rotations and I didn’t appreciate it.

Every lab since consisted of back-biting and merit-seeking.

Can I ask what subject that lab was studying? I know in many subjects-biology, chemistry, clinical research, medical lab sciences-it's a lot more likely to be 50/50 or woman majority than others.

Also yes, despite popular belief, men do indeed gossip, cause drama, and get into petty fights and backstabbing quite a bit. The most notorious gossipers I've ever met were males.

Same. I’ve never had drama with women. Only males.

It was Biology, but the lab was like 95% women! So supportive! Even other bio labs I was in didn’t have that many women
