Netflix has a series right now about Sally McNeil, famed bodybuilder who shot her husband to death back in the 90s. The series is a real insight into familial, domestic abuse. It's a rough watch but I really recommend it.

The women of the story were the only ones who did the right thing. Sally, her daughter, Sally's friend who was the only one who noticed her injuries, the expert women who examined her for battered woman syndrome. There were women on the wrong side too, but only women showed any bravery or truth here.

Every man in the series fails or betrays the women facing violence, excuses the violence, or causes it. From Ray, to the prosecutor, to the defense attorney, Ray's two coward friends, the guy making fetish videos, Sally's first husband, and ultimately her son.

It really is chilling when you see how women are punished for defending themselves against male attack. It is state-sanctioned oppression of women. There are still so many cases today of women being sentenced to decades for self-defense. Every man considers a woman's self-defense to be the attack itself, deserviing of retaliation. Men are broken.

Probably the saddest thing for me was when her daughter talked about being with an abuser. Abusive male partners propagate violence long after they’re gone. They raise abusive sons and daughters who are used to abuse.

Also, the DA guy is a piece of shit.

I have noticed that all of the streaming platforms portray women as equally likely ( & sometimes more likely) to commit murder which IS a LIE!! " MALES were convicted of the vast majority of homicides representing 89.5% of the total number of offenders" the BRO's in charge of programming are deceitful manipulators.

I think the reason for shows like this (and Snapped) is because it’s such a rarity. Also a large portion of them are due to some DV.

If you watch 20/20 or Dateline isn’t nearly all men. Almost all serial killers are men.
