I did, it was like watching a libfem trainwreck. I’m focusing more on the libfem agenda than the actual show plot in this post, but welcome replies about both.

Annie falls in love with a homeless man, who is somehow good at everything (cooking, lacrosse, hair coloring, etc). She learns to be ok with him getting food out of trash cans and his poop bucket… lol so quirky! (gag)

He also admits he tailors his dating profile to get the type of girl he wants, he’s very successful at it. She thinks it’s a great idea and does it herself to get access they need.

Annie’s TIF daughter is super happy and well adjusted! Star of the boys lacrosse team! Beth imagines them moving away, there’s a problem with them not allowing her in the boys changing room. The trans thing is barely mentioned except in cases like that.

Beth’s husband joins a mens cycling group, which leads to joining their skincare mlm cult. They’re huge MRAs. He tells one of the men about the things his wife has done, the man insists he needs to go to the cops and helps him build the case. Husband is getting cold feet, other man keeps pushing. Turns out his wife is very mean and controlling, and he’s taking his anger at her out on Beth.

Nothing too libfemmy going on with Ruby. Her husband gets involved with the mlm stuff too, but he’s forced and wants to protect his wife.

The strippers started out helping them sell fake purses, mostly by blackmailing the male customers. Strip club closes, they get normal jobs. Eventually the trio buys the strip club, offers them part ownership, and they’re all super eager to come back. Some looked like they had good normal jobs.

A group of mom’s try to stop the strip club from reopening as revenge at Beth, they’re painted as prudes because they don’t want a strip club near their kid’s school. All the other businesses in the area love the strip club! It brings them business! The strippers have kids at the school too!

I heard the young actress was also transitioning. Is she on hormones? If she's the star of the boys' lacrosse team, I would assume so. Unless it's a fiction designed to convince teenage girls that they can fairly compete against boys.

She must be. She passes pretty well, but she’s mostly shown next to her 5’1 mother, the daughter is 5’4. 😔

She definitely plays lacrosse with boys. It absolutely feels like they’re using a TIF to get people on board with trans people in sports.

Lacrosse is the main topic when the daughter is mentioned or on set.

I saw a video last year where it seemed like she might be on hormones, but it was so brief I couldn't tell.

It's just so fucking awful. The actress is 16 years old. I couldn't watch a show like this knowing that medical abuse of a minor is being promoted.

She learns to be ok with him getting food out of trash cans and his poop bucket… lol so quirky! (gag)

A love story involving a homeless guy isn't a horrible idea. But of course a libfem show goes the extra mile and has the woman embrace him being a filthy weirdo both on AND off the streets. Because having any standards would make her a b--ch!

Only in fiction could a TIF be the best on a team full of actual boys (even if she's swimming in fake testosterone).

Gotta keep pushing the lie that stripping is fun and makes you more money than a 9-5 job with benefits. Going back to stripping is totally a good long term career move! Because it's not like women past age 30 will be pushed out of the strip club when the local high school girls turn 18!

A group of mom’s try to stop the strip club from reopening as revenge at Beth, they’re painted as prudes because they don’t want a strip club near their kid’s school.

Because parents couldn't possibly have a valid reason to not want a business that attracts drunk perverts and survives by recruiting young girls to be near a school! Its only because they're catty Karens with a vendetta against a Cool Girl Boss Mom!

The woman really did want revenge at Beth. First they sold her a fake purse, then she wanted to buy the strip club (as her first revenge at Beth), and Beth had a fake inspector say there was all these problems with it and it would be a fortune to fix, Beth bought it for less money.

The woman also tried to run against Beth for a city government position.

Beth ended up breaking into her house, and having a thug smash up her kitchen and threaten her family.

So they did really have a feud going on, but it did make it feel like that was the only reason for the protest. They were just reopening the strip club, it was never a problem before!

I enjoyed that show, but the whole final season has me scratching my head. It was such a fun premise- can regular moms maintain their suburban lives while being criminals on the side? Then it seems like they lost the thread and just kept doubling down on all the worst aspects of the show.

The homeless boyfriend thing was just bizarre. If he had been down on his luck, and Annie loved him anyway, that could have been cute. But I have no idea what they were going for with that character. He used his situation to constantly put Annie down and they had her acting like he was too good for her! And that dating profile thing! I atually said, "what the hell" out loud while I was watching it. He admitted to lying to women to sleep with them and then they just moved on.

It's the same with the mlm guys, too. The idea of a group of men who turn to MRA nonsense because they can't handle their wives asserting themselves could've been a good story that fit right in with Good Girls. Let's be honest, Dean would be the idiot who is susceptible to being manipulated by a group of men like that. But the story would have been much more interesting if it had focused on Dean and Beth, and her reaction to finding out he was that weak. Instead it seemed like they were actually trying to justify the Breckin Meyer character by giving him such a stereotypical "ballbusting" wife.

Beth spent the whole series talking about her kids, "I'm a mom," family is what matters most, but then in that final episode they have her threaten the other mother and the lives of her family with such ease. It was so out of character. She was threatening a woman who had no criminal ties just because she didn't want her kids near a strip club! Maybe they were setting it up for Beth to go full villain if they got another season but it was so harsh I don't think it worked.

The one thing I was happy about was that they finally got rid of the brother-cousin. Nothing about that story was working for me and it was good to see him get taken out of the story.

I absolutely agree. The show had so much promise.

I could have loved the dad mlm cult storyline, but the MRA crap and the way it’s all their wives fault for being such bitches.

I don’t like what they turned Beth into. I’m ok with her enjoying the rush of committing crimes, but she totally lost her humanity. She didn’t even seem to care that Annie took the fall for her.
