It doesn't take much for these guys to turn on a woman, even their own mother who has otherwise given them a great life, and considering the misogynist that he became doesn't take much for them to turn on all women either. Go listen to this little shit publicly berate his mother for a minor comment she said in anger 50 years ago.

So he was goofing off in class, not following the teacher's directions, and she called him out on it -- and he still resents her for it?

I mean, I get it. She was harsh. And in a perfect world, she'd have had the flexibility and ability to be able to support him following his dreams wherever they took him. But this world isn't that world. We live in a world where kids are expected to follow instructions, do what they're told, and follow the curriculum. Had she allowed him to simply follow his dreams and they'd not panned out, she'd have been lambasted for that, too, and blamed for his failure.

But, of course, he has no idea about that because he's an extremely privileged male who's likely never listened to a woman's voice a day in his life.

What makes you think he’s telling the truth about his mother? I think he’s lying.

He may or may not be. I know that moms all have their breaking points, and it's entirely possible she lost her patience with him and told him off a time or two. Kids are known for finding their moms' very last nerve and then playing with it like the little springs behind doors.

Anyway, long story short, he could be telling the truth as he remembers it, he could be exaggerating for effect, or he could be flat-out lying. I have no way of knowing. But regardless, I still think he's being a childish ass for his behavior both then and now. His mom was trying to push him to be his best, and instead of understanding where she was coming from and trying to meet her halfway, he just shat all over her both privately and publicly.
