Is this the first non-satirical biotrans woman?

I saw a woman on a reddit who believed herself to be very unattractive & masculine looking and she had several posts about how she felt like a "transwoman" and expressing upset that TIMs didn't accept her due to her being cis. I just thought that it was quite sad. I could see how a woman who has been treated poorly due to not fitting conventional beauty standards might feel that it would be better to be a TIM, since at least they get fake praise and social defense in this era of trans worship.

At least some of the comments are sane.

Sorry, just checking. You are a cis woman, who feels like a AMAB that is a trans woman when you do feminine things, and you think trans exclusionary radical feminists have made you feel this way?

You're unhinged. Get a grip.

🤣 only sane reaction to that.

the last comment is good too, that user said "not everyone will agree with you on everything, stop worrying about it".

Yes, that was good to see. I had a hard time understanding if the OP was a man or woman at first.

Somehow I doubt that aggressive, oddly specific, suspiciously-worded post was written by a woman- even of the handmaiden variety. On the ever-so-slight chance it was, I really hope she gets the help she needs and stops hating her own sex so much.. all because of the gender roles that confused men are reinforcing. 😬

Yeah, this is a very odd post. I've never heard a woman say, "I get the voice that I am not a 'real' woman, that I am just a guy that tries to be one." Why is that something crossing her mind, and why would it be the fault of us "terfs"? Sadly, most of the mentally ill women in my life are hypercritical of themselves and blame themselves for everything, even things that they have no control over. Going straight to blaming one's emotional problems on strangers is a very male move.

TIMs make shit up on reddit to gain support for their cause all the time (see: "tons of cis lesbians love sucking my ladydick!"), you're right that it's probably an example of that.

It does remind me a bit of obsessive thoughts about sexuality, which some people have - intrusive thoughts that they're gay (or straight) that don't match up with their actual feelings and upset them. It wouldn't surprise me that, now that everyone's talking about trans stuff rather than gay rights etc, that such obsessive thoughts might latch on to the trans idea instead.

Yeah, anything is possible. I knew a guy with OCD who was plagued with images of himself raping people, including family members. He truly couldn't stop it and felt horribly guilty all the time. The difference is he didn't blame his OCD symptoms on other people, he wasn't like telling women's rights activists and assault victims to shut up. The tendency in the post to place all the blame on women and threaten violence against them just screams AGP to me.

Yeah this is definitely a post that read as written by a male. You guys gave great examples of why. For me it’s a spidey-sense and I can’t always identify it, but I’m usually right.

Literally I try to do a silly girly thing for myself and I get intrusive thoughts about how I am just a big liar about liking the things I do, I enjoy my features and then I get intrusive thoughts about my body.

Uhhhhhh. This makes some kind of sense if it’s a man with AGP and his entirely accurate “intrusive thoughts” are “I’m a man with AGP.” It also figures that he’d blame TERFs for his accurate self perceptions, they all do that.

I don’t believe it was written by a woman, that makes absolutely zero sense.

I personally find it hilarious that their OCD about trans specifically and they don't blame gender ideology or the huge societal focus on transpeople right now. No, it must be the people who DON'T believe in the subject of their obsession/compulsion that caused it. I do truly feel bad for the person because they are in great pain, and I know that they are grasping at straws to blame anything other than themselves, but it's like blaming atheists because you have intrusive thoughts about god.

Another example of how the word "terf" is being used as a slur against women and used in a way to incite violence against them. Reddit is hosting hateful and violent content against women. The amount of content seems to be increasing as well. Please keep documenting this as Reddit has a responsibility to protect its users against violent rhetoric.

Edit: Here's the original link if anyone wants it: https://www.reddit.com/r/OCD/comments/x36ws1/i_want_to_punch_terfs_for_making_my_ocd_worse/

I did report this to Reddit and I hope others do too. If multiple people report the same user, Reddit does sometimes take action. Also, Reddit needs to stop allowing the use of the term "terf." It is a slur. Report it and have them review it if comes back as "not violating Reddit's content policy" the first time.

I would bet you money I don't even have that that is a man. I am getting "man" vibes off that man. Man man man man MAN.

Man who presents shitty argument, at that. That is literally not how OCD works.
