I was just reading the post about a man who had is account demonetized by Etsy and PayPal for selling products with his website's logo. His website states that there are two sexes. This was enough to rile up the TRAs and get him deplatformed and demonetized on these two sites. It inspired me to go and look at what else Etsy was selling. I went to Etsy's home page and searched "terf." Lo and behold, there are numerous products from many different sellers featuring guns, knives, boots, and threats against "terfs," i.e. women.

These sellers and their products are in direct violation of Etsy's Prohibited Items Policy. They violate Q8: Violent Items: Items that Promote, Support, or Glorify Violence.

I will link some of the sellers' pages below. Please report them to Etsy as a violation of their Prohibited Items Policy. To report the pages, just click on the original links below and scroll to the bottom of the page. Click "report this item to Etsy" in the bottom right hand corner of the page and follow the instructions.

I am absolutely ill over the violence and misogyny that is being perpetuated against women under the guise of "trans rights" and the use of the slur "terf." It's not ok to punch, stomp, or kill ANYONE, even if they have personal or political stances you disagree with. Etsy has a responsibility to protect its users against violence, harm, and death. They are currently not protecting their female users by allowing the sales of items depicting, encouraging, and glorifying violence against women who are deemed "terfs."

It's completely hypocritical of Etsy to host, platform, and monetize violence against women, while removing other content that does not depict such things.

Just a note: There are tons of products on Etsy saying "Fuck Terfs" and "No Terfs," but I chose to just focus on ones that specifically advocate violence. I found every link below by searching Etsy for three separate terms: "terf," "trans rights," and "JK Rowling."

And I am sure that if you replaced the word terf with woman they'd get taken down pretty quickly, but I guess if you're a woman with certain views you don't get that treatment

The one with a whole visible gun is so scary 😦

Yep. It's like a silent threat.

I had a good reporting session of everything in my country under “terf” that was violent and DMd the sellers too. let’s hope it works!

I will never understand how TERFS are their big boogeyman and not men who actually commit violence.

Well I do, it's misogyny, but still.

I think women are just an easier target. Women's concerns aren't taken as seriously in a lot of cases. If we complain about something, we're seen as "too emotional" or "Karens." I think women just don't get as much respect as men and TRAs use that to their advantage. It's messed up.

Is there an option to flag the item for inappropriate / violent / hateful content?

Yes! I was just posting a link to the information in a comment. I will list all the links I find along with a way to report them. This violates number 8 on Etsy's prohibited items list: https://www.etsy.com/legal/prohibited#Q8

Just scroll down to the bottom of the listing and click "report" in the lower, right hand corner. https://www.etsy.com/listing/1189558486/anti-terf-club-queer-art-accessory-acab

I tried reporting this item but it looks like you need an Etsy account to do so. I deleted mine after finding out that they allow the sale of paedophilic items. Sick sick sick

Ew, they do? They really need a better system to weed out these types of things. Thanks for trying to report them though. I still have an account, but I'm thinking about closing it after this.

Somehow I get the feeling that if I were selling buttons that said "Anti-T Slur Club" with crossed knives, my account would be deleted immediately and any funds associated would be frozen, followed quickly thereafter by an Etsy PR statement that said they were horrified to learn of the bigoted and hateful merchandise, and that they are committed to providing a safe environment for everyone, and that going forward they will screen merchandise much more closely to make sure that this doesn't happen again.

I won't be holding my breath for them to do that in this case for obvious reasons.

I don't know why your comment was downvoted, but you're absolutely right. They literally don't even care about women and will protect men (TIMs) above all else. It's ridiculous. I'm deleting my Etsy account.

My brother works there. It's completely captured. Pronouns pins and stickers everywhere.

I was looking for some pro-women merch the other day and was shocked by the sort of items mentioned in this thread. Also there was nothing even remotely Feminist as it looks like certain words are blocked.
